Viper dipped her head in acknowledgement, she had no desire to respond to the soldier. She walked over to the gate to leave the Colosseum, but guards blocked her way. " What are you doing?" she asked, digging her claws into the ground. " I'm sorry, miss, but we can't let you leave." one of the guards said, and Viper scoffed. " Really? Doubtful." she said, then knocked two of them to the ground with her tail. She whipped to attack the other guards, but they had already grabbed her and were dragging her away from the gate. She lashed around, trying to escape. " What is the meaning of this?!" Viper growled, but the guards ignored her, shutting her in a room in the dark, alone. Xavrinthan blinked in shock as he watched her try and leave, to no avail as the guards put her down on the ground just as swiftly as she had put two of them on the ground, before dragging her away. "Wait... she may not be a citizen of Suber, but a visiting fighter from foreign lands. As such, I, Tessararius Xavrinthan Grysalvi, demand that you release her from the colosseum's custody!" Viper lashed around in the room, searching for a way to escape. She had been trained in the Scorpion Den to figure out how to escape rooms like this, but no exit was in sight. She could faintly hear talking outside. The guard shook his head. "New orders from the Emperor. All gladiator victors are staying here. None are leaving. Xavrinthan looked at the guards in skepticism, wondering if this was actually an order from his Emperor, or if someone was trying to usurp the Emperor's authority. "Did either of you check the order to see if it was he who actually wrote it? Did you see him write it out? The Emperor knows that I lead one of his best legions, and as such, I cannot be cooped up here in the Colosseum of Neptune whilst my regiments are without my leadership." Xavrinthan Grysalvi said truthfully, hoping that the guards had been proper soldiers and made sure that the order came from the Emperor himself and not an impostor or criminal posing as the Emperor through writing. 0 players like this post! The guard rolled his eyes. " Of course. The Emperor issued this new order, and we both saw him write it." he said, " We are not amateurs." he said under his breath. Before Xavrinthan could respond, the two guards who held him pushed him away from the gate. Viper lashed her tail, hearing the noises outside the room and slammed her body against the door, trying to open it forcefully. She tried a few more times before looking at the lock on the door. She looked at her wrists, then back at the door. She carefully used the barbs on her wrists to unlatch the lock, then forced the door open. She leaped out of the room, and pounced on one of the guards. She clawed and bit the guard, but his scales were too hard. She didn't let this stop her, she just continued to fight. Once, she glanced at Xavrinthan, but turned back quickly, trying to ignore the other gladiator. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Xavrinthan was a little surprised at receiving backup, but having seen her fighting in the colosseum, knew that she could handle herself beside him, and his vigor was relit for a time. Viper hissed angrily. There were more guards?! She snarled as they tied her and the other dragon up and cut their wings. She lashed around, but that only made it hurt worse. She turned and looked at the ice dragon, trying to see any emotion or something from the other dragon, but saw nothing. Xavrinthan yowled as his wings were punctured by the pilum as if they were enemy shields. Knowing these weapons well, they were tough to pull out due to the unique iron tip of the wooden weapon. He growled at the guards seconds after Viper had looked, angry at the possibility that his Emperor had betrayed his loyalty like this. "We are not dogs that we are to be kicked around like this!
