mawce kept pretty far behind trying to blend in with the trees, when he saw python take off his mask he didn't really react much. he's seen worse and done worse to others.

python just kept walking around, eventually he stopped walking, crouching down and staring at a bird's skeleton

mawce eventually got the courage to come out of hiding and walked up to python. he still stood a little ways away but didn't say anything

python noticed mawce almost immediately and slipped his balaclava back on silently, putting out his cigarette, messing with the bird bones still

mawce just walked a bit closer nd inspected the bird. he started to fix some bones and put them back in place

"why are you out here? don't you have training?" python asked in a stern tone, watching mawce put the bones together

"no" he said in a flat tone "the government doesn't have a tight leash on me like they used to" he didn't look away from the bones once they were back in place

"i guess ive just earned their trust. haven't killed anyone on the team yet" he chuckled and stood up. "came close before tho.

mawce practiced holding his breath for extended amounts of time by just sitting on the bottom of the creek as long as he could coming up for air every once in a while as fish just swam around him

python was just sparring with another soldier, when he was done he left to the common area and grabbed some water and a starw, feeding the starw under his balaclava so he could drink his water :3
he heard a truck driving around outside (big truck :3)

after a while mawce got out of the creek and shook any extra water off of his fur. he headed back to base walking in through the back entrance as it was closest from where he was coming out of the woods. once inside he was pretty much dry and just flopped down onto the couch
