₊ ⊹˚ Enola . . .

In the midst of a vast forest stood a young women. She is fit and lean– the distinctive outline of her msulces clearly visible through her tight shirt. Her redish-brown hair, draped over her left shoulder, hides the left part of her face. Despite this, it is still easy to make-out her features. Slim face, hooked nose, large and alluring, doe-like and bright green eyes. She stalks through the forests as if they were her home, as if she were an animal, hunting down her prey.

Each step she took was with careful precaution. Don’t step on that branch, go down that path— suddenly, her swift movements stop. LIke a cat, her ear flickers, and her eyes land upon just what she was looking for. Her food. Taking off the bag upon her back, she slowly stalks towards the unassuming rabbit, which sits nice and prim in the middle of her path. Perfect. Easy food.

In the blink of an eye, what was once a human is now a large yet hidden creature. She knows the way of hunting. Once that prey spots her, she’ll have to try her best to run after it– afterall, it’s been nearly a week since she’s had a proper meal, and she’s gotten so desperate she’s resorted into going into a clan’s terrirtory. Ignoring the hunger and lack of sleep weighing her down, Enola takes a second to study her tagret, claws unsheathed, and pounces.

However, she’s not quick enough. The effects of starvation have taken its toll on her, and what would’ve been an easy, quick meal is quickly turned into a game of cat-and-mouse. Despite the fact that she could catch up to the animal in a heartbeat, she cannot risk leaving her bag behind, wasting what little materials she has to her name.

With a sigh-like growl, the beast quickly trasnforms back into a human, and the girl hits the ground in frustation, leaving a small, fist imprint in the dirt below. She won’t last another day like this, without food, weak and starving. Dear sun and moon, what was she about to do? Weighing her options down in her mind, she had no choice but to lean on a clan for help. But she couldn’t dare let herself– not after what happened, all those years ago. With the rumble of her stomach, and the slight pitter-patter sound of rain, she decided to ignore the urges she had, and turned away from the clan– she would once again find means of survival in her own.

Even if it killed her.

The slight drizzle turned into heavy rainfall in mere miutes, and very quickly, Eonla was soaked. “Great.,” she said to herself, shivering and cold and wet. “Real great.,” her voice chattered , and she could feel herself falling out of consciousness. Was this really how she would go out? Out here in the rain, in such a pathetic way? With no energy left to spare, Enola passed out in the middle of the woods, all alone, scared, and fearing she wouldn’t wake up.

Her only hope was someone finding her, and they would need to do it fast.
