As Coolio said, this is part of the official rejected suggestions so there's no chance of this happening.
And even if this were to be implemented it would likely drastically shake up the economy. As it is there a somewhat fuzzy line for each event in terms of what the event currencies value is compared to gb/sb. Allowing direct trading of event currency would likely make a need for a more defined line of value. The economy would be all out of sorts from this and I think we are all wanting a more stable market with all the changes in lion value as of late. And would the trading for every months currency be available year round? or would it be restricted to only during the month? I Imagine it would also change how some clans are run. Would clans then work together to pool up a bunch of event currency? Would there need to be a section on clans for event currency donation? Would some people just end up not really spending their event currency and instead immediately trade it off for gb? How would this effect the value of gb/sb? And how would this affect the value of event items? There's a lot of questions and what ifs in terms of how this would be implemented and with something regarding the market like this, what ifs aren't good.

And another thing is that there's really not a need to allow trading event currency. People 'trade' event currency by trading items from the event shops and imo this works fine. Yeah it can sometimes be some extra steps with making sure you buy the correct thing but in the end its not that big of a hassle. It's crazy how fragile markets can be and there's no easy way to predict how a change like this would affect the market.
