-LOCKED - Leopard Tail Clarification | |
Posted on 2024-03-12 16:04:37
As Tier 3 of the Black Market is close to unlocking, we are releasing clarification on the mechanics of the Leopard Tail item as promised! * Each use of a Leopard Tail in one breeding will add a 5% chance to a rosette rolling if the normal criteria for rosettes are met (any breeding can be eligible for a spontaneous rosette, but certain rosette types have certain specific criteria) * Leopard Tails can be applied to both parents and the effects will stack, so there will be a 10% boosted chance in the next breeding if applied to both parents * The boosted chance applies to all types of rosettes * The chance rolls for each cub in the litter * Leopard Tail is compatible with Ochre Powder and the items can be used together in one breeding, but Ochre Powder will not affect the chance of a rosette showing in itself * The item does not increase the pass rate of the parents' existing rosettes 331 players like this post! I will comment a second, and I believe the last time on this post. he should have resolved our doubts, not generated more. our main point was that, in the item, in his statement he talks about criteria, which ones? "but certain rosette types have certain specific criteria" I believe you are talking about the mottled rosette, since it is the only one that cannot come spontaneously, but, would it be difficult to specify it like everyone does when having a conversation about rosettes? adding this line to the statement, which does not change the item, will only resolve our doubts about it. As far as I know, we have never been given "criteria" for a rosette to pass from a lion to a cub or to emerge spontaneously. related to going from lion to cub, we were always told that the percentage was lower in relation to the other markings in the game, but now to say that there are criteria and that at least ONE must be met? like this? Sorry, but I can't understand, and I can't understand how specifying which criteria are would change anything in our game 6 players like this post! Like? |

There’s a REASON seasoned players don’t want more bases and marking passers, the market s already dog shit, and more new shiny things are only pushing the “old” out the door even faster. Now we have a rosette (not passer) item with no explanation on the criteria, or that there even WAS criteria beyond mottled rosettes. 12 players like this post! Like? |

@Rosa - The wiki states ALL rosettes have a criteria to be created, so its not mottled rosette. This post however says only SOME rosettes have that criteria. Which is why people are angry and confused, some people have spent thousands trying to figure out the "criteria" and we are just now being told that there may not have even been one except for some rosettes. 11 players like this post! Interesting. So, there's never been any specific criteria for spontaneous rosettes? that seems like new information. But specific criteria for specific rosettes... it seems like feline markings can "mutate" into rosettes. I haven't been able to find any information online about IRL lions and when they might keep their rosettes after adolescence though people seem to say that it can occasionally happen, or they lose their rosettes at an older age. I dunno. I feel like this item could help crack some of the code, but if the code is literally just along the lines of "for rosettespawn=1 to 10000 / if rosettespawn=6678 / then check for briar feline 2 and do spawn=briar soft rosette / else spawn wildcard rosette in empty slot" that's.. i dunno. A huge disappointment. 9 players like this post! Like? |

Are we sure they aren't just talking about like the slot criteria? Like all rosettes can't show up on any/all slots right? Maybe thats what they mean..? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Rosettes can show in any slot as far as I know. Even if they aren't unlocked in the case of slot 11-20. The wiki is very explicit in that rosettes have a specific criteria that has to be met for them to spawn. 3 players like this post! Like? Edited on 12/03/24 @ 19:14:03 by Fraekinn (#57572) |

Can any rosette show up in any slot? I thought I read somewhere that certain rosettes couldn't show up in certain slots. 1 player likes this post! Like? |
