Beestar stares down at her new litter, the four tiny kits at her side wriggle and squirm. somewhere, in the darkness of the den, she can sense Flightbird and Tinyear close by, the medicine cat checking up on her kits, and the deputy guarding the nursery entrance, keeping their nosier clanmates out.

"they're all healthy" Tinyear reports "Three she-kits, and one tom", Beestar looks up at him, a question in her eyes, but Tinyear shakes his head "It's for the best nobody knows, i don't want them to be judged for who their father is" he murmurs, pressing his nose against her's "I'll watch from afar, and should i be lucky enough for one of them to be intrested in herbs, i will do my best to teach them"

"Wait!" Beestar whispers-shouts as Tinyear turns to leave "Will you name one of them?"
Tinyear pauses, looking over the four tiny fluffballs, before leaning down and laying his muzzle onto the kitten who looks the most like him, the only tom-kit, "Auburnkit" he breathes softly.
