What gameplay feature is this bug affecting? Hunting What's the issue? Please include any error messages you receive and as much detail as possible. So, there are a couple things up with hunting. One is prey rarities are off, and the other is lionesses are bringing back the wrong prey for the number of them sent out. For reference, I focus on hunting for elephant calf carcasses, so I stick to waterhole and marshland tiles. I almost always send out only one lioness. I hunt on both accounts. The lionesses I send out most are generally level 3-8. I saw the GMO chicken thread but I think the problem is more widespread. My hunts for at least the last few days are mostly bringing back uncommon-rare prey - human legs, red river hogs, half eaten rhinos. Right now my hoard has a few elephant calves - there is a 4 day stretch where I didn't get any of them, based on the times to expire between the most recently caught two. Now, I don't hunt that often because I'm not on that often, but elephant calves are supposed to be common prey and I used to get them really reliably, so in any case I should be getting a lot more of them than legs and hogs. I've also noticed that, even though I've only been sending out a single lioness each hunt today, I got a giraffe carcass (on my other account) and a zebra carcass. According to the hunting prey list, giraffes are supposed to take 4-5 lionesses and zebras 2-3. My most recent hunt on this account, I got a waterbuck carcass with a single lioness - waterbucks are supposed to take 2-3 lionesses. I don't think I've ever failed a hunt outside of August except maybe with level 1 lionesses, but the ones I'm sending out are level 3+. I don't know if this is actually a bug and I'm just having bad luck. I only started to notice these issues late yesterday so I only have the one screenshot so far but I will keep taking them to keep track. Any links relating to this bug? For example, if a particular lion is bugging, what is the link to that lion? I'm also seeing increased failed hunts. I've had 8 hunts yield no prey this month, with 3 of those today alone. All my hunting parties have been full and consisting of numerous moderate-high leveled lionesses. 2 players like this post! Like? |

I also hunt for elephant calf. I usually do 4 lionesses though. Anyways I'm getting multiple gmo chickens a day (and I don't hunt that much) along with other carcasses that really do not make sense for what tiles I'm hunting on and their rarity. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Hunting before a recent update (too tired to remember which one, will be back to edit this) dry season I was pulling in one large carcass at LEAST, and mediums. During wet season I was pulling large carcasses. My econ on the game was able to support a medium pride given my lax playstyle of a single hunt group maxing out on hunts a day, giving me enough to feed everyone, and not worry if I miss a day of hunting, the mediums being able to supplement if I was out of larges. Any access was sold off for SB. Now in dry season, at most I get is a single GMO chicken, and a small, in wet season I'm getting two mediums, and on a rare moment I get a large carcass. This is with me hunting every cooldown turn that I can get to in my day, and running out of hunts in my party, and even this I'm barely able to fill feed my pride and keep them all fed at the same level, meaning every roll over I'm having to stress feed individual lions when I do get something back, just so I don't lose them. All in all what whatever is going on with hunting is draining me, between failed hunts, bringing back nothing but GMO chickens (which at this rate is the best option since they give 100/100), or being able to get enough to feed my lions for a day has turned my otherwise casual gameplay into a more attentive and hard mode where I HAVE to hunt otherwise I'm losing lions. Now I myself have already slimmed my pride as much as I can, I have a small pride, barely pushing 50 and I am still struggling. I have no econ in the game because I'm unable to sell food for SB, which means I'm forced to open stud requests when I'd much rather have them private, just to have SB. On top of Stud fees for some of my RL/NRLC breedings or traits I need for projects, eye and skin rocks, herbs for fertility boosts, and lord knows what else I need to spend SB on, paying just to feed my lions is not something I wish to endure for a small pride, just because hunting rates have been somehow fucked?? At this rate any lion of mine that hits 12+ years is chased, unless they're needed in projects, simply because I cannot afford to feed them. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Seeing I'm not alone in this. I've always had a full party of hunters and I almost always send 5 of them out (sometimes less if some of them do go into heat at the same time). Even with a lax playstyle like mine, I was able to sustain quite a hefty pride of near 100 lionesses. But as of late it has become stupidly hard to even maintain 40. I used to hunt for Zebra, Wildebeest and Elephant Calf and those were abundant. I actually had more than 40 zebra carcasses usually, but now with this new silent change/bug most of what I get is Kudu, Gerenuk, Blesbok. 0 players like this post! Like? |

It’s been over a month and it’s still persisting for me as well…quit taking screenshots pretty early on because it’s all the time. Super frustrating when all you want is elephqnt calves to feed your 30+ lions and you’re only getting small uncommon/rare prey..getting a fair few failed hunts too. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Adding - the switch with hunting rates lines up pretty much exactly with when the "Follow the Injured" hunting item was implemented. I'm wondering if prey rates were inverted somehow, as the results that are supposed to be common (such as elephant calves) are rare, and the results that are supposed to be rare (failed hunts, GMO chickens) are common. Regardless it's causing a site-wide lack of food. At this point I either have to spend 10gb every 5 days to feed my main pride (maybe a little less if I get a few decent hunts), when I previously could manage that just by hunting+sell the spare small junk to the monkey. I'm pretty new and only recently started playing more consistently, sending out almost 20 hunts a day for my 32-37 lion pride for the past couple weeks. I get a lot of food from explore (crocodiles, warthogs, and hartebeests), and mostly human legs, gmo chickens, and warthogs. It takes me 3-4 days to get enough food for 100 uses to sell. And then in the past couple days I've had at least 4 failed hunts which was super unusual (I hunt with 5 lions with at least 1 per party that has 800+ in stats). So it seems like my experience has been super similar to other people in the thread. I mainly feed small prey (despite many clicks lol) and never sell more than I have to feed my pride for the next 2-3 days, but I've definitely gotten pretty nervous a couple times thinking "what am I going to feed them if it keeps going like this??" which is a little stressful! I too am seeing a lot more uncommon/rare hunt results and barely any elephant calves or other common results. I'm no longer able to keep my pride fed on my own when I used to be able to do it fairly easily and even sell excess. I saw numerous failed hunts in April, less of them now in May. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

Today Ive been sending out a single lioness per hunt, mostly to a waterhole tile. Between my two accounts, I have had fewer failed hunts so far, but I am still getting prey that requires a minimum of two lionesses to bring back (2 sable antelopes, a kob, and a hippo calf). So that problem is still persisting. I am seeing a few more returns of common prey - gazelles, nyala, elephant calves - so that issue may be slowly getting better. As the day has gone on I've had fewer GMO chicken returns, at least. ETA: spoke too soon, chickens on the rampage again today (5-29) and no increase in common prey returns.
