Welcome to NobleClan, a fan Clan in the making!

You're fed up with your kittypet life. The wild is calling you! You've heard all the stories of the many majestic Warrior cat clans of the far away lands, and you want that life for yourself. The problem is that there aren't any wild Clans here. Just a bunch of stray cats and pets......so what do you do?
Start your own Clan of course!

But do you have what it takes to be wild? Or will you turn tail and go back to being a pet?
Lets find out.

---------
I just want a casual RP honestly, and I thought i'd make one about warrior cats...Cuz there totally aren't enough of those on lioden already amiright? That was sarcasm btw.

*Da Ruelz*
No unnatural colors

No one-liners, Don't just go:(She walked over and sighed) because what am I to do with that??? instead try something like: (Emerging from her home with a troubled expression on her face, the slender tabby she-cat made her way over to where some of her friends were currently chatting near her fence. Worry clouded her grey-blue eyes, and she couldn't help the sigh that escaped her as she took a seat next to her best friend.) See how much more of a picture that painted in your minds eye?

No NSFW

NO powerplay or Godmoding

All Lioden rules apply

I know life gets busy. I will wait a full 3 days for everyone to reply before I move on with the RP, unless you've given prior notice that you won't be able to respond for xx amount of time.

Ill add more rules as needed.

Oscar's ears would flatten at Honey's fearful question, and he unconsciously moved to stand between the tabby and the bush, ready to defend them. Even if he'd never been in a real fight in his young life, he would at the very least make sure to buy enough time so that his friends escaped whatever danger they currently faced. He'd dragged them into this after all. Steeling his nerve, the inky black tom let his claws slide out, and his face set in a determined expression. 'No matter what it is, I won't let it hurt my friends, even if it costs me my-' Oscar's noble line of thought would be cut short as a sudden snort of amusement floated from the underbrush.
More than a little confused, the three of them watched in tense silence as a distinctly feline pair of ears peeked from the bush that had them all worked up. Moments later, the mysterious appendages were followed by the appearance of the large tom they belonged to.
Oscar's tense form immediately relaxed a bit and he let out a puff of air that was chocked full of relief. Even if this charcoal furred bengal was an intimidating visage in his own right, he was still a hundred times more welcome a sight than anything else that could have emerged from that bush.....
He watched with guarded curiosity as the other tom seemed to size them up, starting with Kitty, whom had cautiously taken a step back the same moment the bengal had stepped towards her. Her deep blue eyes wary. He was easily the most imposing tom she had encountered in her lifetime after all, with her having to tilt her head up a bit to meet his gaze. He had a wildness about him that she was neither of them were used to seeing among the strays that roamed their old neighborhood. No this older tom seemed to be made of true forest stock that was not touched by twolegs.

When the bengal tom turned those golden eyes on him, questioning who they were, Oscar would straighten up and lift his chin a bit, flashing the white spot on his nose as he tried not to show how impressed he actually was by the sight of him. "Greetings stranger, you're quite right to think that we are a bit far from home, we just set out today to be honest," He meowed, his green eyes meeting their gold steadily. "My name is Oscar, this is Kitty, and that's Honey," he introduced, and was quiet for just moment before he spoke up again. "The three of us are setting out to become Warrior cats," he continued matter-of-factly, earning a look from Kitty. She didn't know if he should just go around announcing that just yet.

Crow | Loner | Tags: Oscar,Kitty & Honey

Warriors? These cats? Now that was hysterical. Crow couldn’t help but laugh, something he hadn’t done in quite a while. It didn’t seem, or sound, natural coming from the tom. “Sorry, but are you serious?” Crow asked, his laughter dying down. “You all are fresh from your twoleg’s nests and want to become clan cats?” The tom mused, sitting down and wrapping his long tail neatly around his body. Scratch finding a temporary den, he was intrigued now. “Are there even any clans in this part? I haven’t come across any so far.” Crow added, averting his gaze temporarily to look around them. He would much rather fight a bobcat than have to be face to face with a patrol of clan cats again. “Plus how do you even know they’ll take you in? The clans usually like kits, ones they can train to follow the laws of Starclan.” The tom said the last part almost mockingly, rolling his eyes. It was strange, usually Crow would have kept to himself. He would’ve stayed hidden and went on his own way. Why was he still here, talking to these cats?

Honey | Kittypet | Tags: Oscar, Kitty & Crow

Honey stayed alert, only removing her gaze from the strange tom to swipe glances of Kitty and Oscar. She was glad it wasn’t a more serious threat, but she didn’t like the aura of this tom. Something seemed a little off about him. Maybe it was the fact this was the first true wildcat the she-cat had send that made her so uncomfortable. She flattened her ears at Crow’s comments, getting a little irritated by his pessimism. “What’s so wrong with us wanting to be clan cats? Being wild is natural for us cats.” Honey spoke up, immediately regretting her decision as Crow’s golden eyes fixated on her for a moment. Honey’s ears flattened once more and she took a nervous step closer to Oscar.

Initially feeling a bit put off when the older tom laughed outright at Oscar's declaration, the emotion would quickly be replaced by budding excitement as the tom mentioned not coming across any clans around here, and that there was a slim chance they would be accepted into one even if there were. Never mind the fact that the tom was speaking to them in such a condescending manner, Oscar's eyes were suddenly lit up. "Are you telling me you've actually met Clan cats before? Real ones?!" he asked excitedly, he stepped closer to the big bengal, intentionally breaking his eye contact with Honey. "That's incredible if you have, you must know so much about their ways, while all I know are stories," he meowed, "You could help us, because we don't plan on joining any Clan's, we are making one ourselves, Nobleclan I'm calling it, and your knowledge would be invaluable to us," he continued, speaking almost a mile a minute he was so excited.

Kitty, who had been silent up till now, finally spoke up in protest as Oscar tried to recruit the intimidating older tom. "Oscar you can't just invite him to join us out of the blue like that! We don't know anything about him, and it's clear he thinks we're all crazy for even being out here in the first place," she meowed, upset that he hadn't even thought to ask her or Honey if they would be ok with such a decision. They were supposed to be in this together after all. She shot the charcoal colored bengal a long look. They didn't even know his name yet.

Oscar looked torn at Kitty's words. He supposed she was right, he shouldn't have invited the other tom without getting their input. But when were they likely to come across such an opportunity like this again? It was as if the bengal tom had been put in their path by a higher power, knowing their goal was to start up a Clan. But none of this would matter if the loner was not on board.....
Oscar turned away from Kitty without answering her, much to her annoyance, and locked eyes with the other tom once more, awaiting his response.

Crow | Loner | Tags: Oscar, Kitty & Honey

Crow smirked, amused by this tom. He had spunk, drive. He almost… liked him? The tom shuddered slightly at the thought, his whole life he had enjoyed his solitude and had never been interested in making friends. He was here out of pure curiosity. “Make a clan? Now that’s something.” He mumbled, remaining quiet for a moment, lost in thought. “Ah, yes. My name’s Crow.” He introduced himself, dipping his head slightly. It was as if it was embedded in him, even though he had left the clans ages ago. “To answer your question yes, I’ve met real clan cats before. Although it wasn’t as magical as you may think.” Crow answered, motioning towards his torn ear. Perhaps Oscar could actually create a clan that was better than the others, less strict. To name a clan something such as ‘Nobleclan’ would imply they had good intentions. He turned his head to Kitty, who was rightfully distrustful of him. “You’re right, I do agree you’re all a bit crazy..” Crow began, looking them all over again. ”However I’ve seen and heard crazier.” He continued with a sigh, shaking his head. “You seem determined… Oscar, was it?” Crow asked, turning his attention back to the jet colored tom. “I don’t know this area well. I came here off of some sort of, I don’t know, instinct or something. However I know forests, and they’re basically all the same. I would feel weirdly… bad if I didn’t at least show you cats how to make a den.” Crow said reluctantly. Why was he feeling any kind of sympathy for these three? This was unlike him. “However this does not mean I accept your invitation of joining your clan. I’ve had my fill of those.”

Honey | Kittypet | Tags: Oscar, Kitty & Crow

Honey eyed the strange tom suspiciously. On one side, she didn’t trust this strange cat, and was wary of his intentions. However they knew little to nothing about the forest or clan life, and Crow seemed like a seasoned forest dweller. She looked from Kitty to Oscar. Oscar seemed much too excited about this meeting, and she was a tad shocked when he invited the stranger to join their clan immediately. Nevertheless, her and Kitty seemed to be in the same page when it came to their feelings about Crow. Honey listened quietly to Crow, observing his ripped right ear. She forced herself not to make a face, how could he speak so casually about such a wound? Tightness filled her chest once again, that probably wasn’t the worst wound this tom had received in the wild. She would have to get used to the idea of possibly getting some wounds of her own in the future. The thought sent a chill down Honey’s spine. However she had agreed to this, and she wasn’t one to back down. The she-cat looked back towards Oscar and Kitty, hoping one of them would speak first.

Oscar waited with bated breath as the Bengal tom remained silent for a while, seemingly pondering his impromptu invitation to join them. Eventually, the tom spoke, introducing himself as Crow with a respectful nod. Oscar listened as Crow recounted his unpleasant encounters with Clan cats, his gaze briefly settling on Crow's torn ear, prompting a frown. Could Clan cats have caused such an injury? Surely, there was a justifiable reason, as the noble Clans he'd heard about wouldn't harm without cause, would they?

Snapped from his reverie by Crow addressing him, Oscar heard the tom's uncertainty about his presence but still expressed his willingness to assist, despite declining to join the Clan. Oscar's face lit up with a wide grin, his dark green eyes twinkling with understanding. Crow might be unaware of what drew him here, but Oscar believed it was the same call that beckoned him and Honey, and perhaps Kitty too. Given Crow's life as a 'forest' cat, Oscar suspected the allure was not merely the wild but also a Clan summons. It seemed too coincidental that they encountered the exact cat they needed on the day their journey began.

Any lingering doubts in Oscar's mind dissipated with Crow's addition to their group. "Thank you, Crow. I understand, please know that joining Nobleclan is not obligatory, but should you reconsider, I'd welcome you," he said brightly. Now facing Honey and Kitty, he displayed a look of mild regret. "Kitty, Honey, I apologize for not seeking your advice before inviting Crow, but I can feel this is right . Going forward, I promise to seek your opinions before any major decisions," he pledged. "Moreover, I want you both to know how much I appreciate your decision to join me. However, if you ever feel this life isn't meant for you, I won't hold it against you if you choose to leave," he said softly, locking eyes with both of them.

Kitty exchanged glances with Honey upon hearing Oscar's words, then gazed upward at the leafy canopy, her deep blue eyes reflecting her troubled thought. She had joined this journey with the noble aim of protecting her kittypet friends, yet the earlier brush with danger had sparked doubts. Had it not been Crow in the bushes, what would have been her course of action? Would she have stood her ground or fled, leaving her friends behind? The thought that she might have considered the latter, even briefly, was distressing. Although she didn't feel the same compelling draw as the others, it didn't lessen the fact that Oscar and Honey were her friends. She couldn't bear the thought of abandoning them now.
Resolved, she dropped her gaze and offered Oscar a warm smile, approaching to nudge his shoulder with hers. "Sorry, Oscar, but you can't get rid of us so easily just because you got a genuine forest cat joining our adventure, you're stuck with us," she quipped, chuckling when he protested that wasn't his intention.
Turning to Crow, her smile remained but carried a hint of caution. She hadn't appreciated his initial attitude towards them, but knew that antagonism would only be counterproductive. While she harbored reservations about trusting him, she had faith in Oscar's judgment of character.
"Thank you for offering your assistance, Crow. I look forward to the chance for all three of us to become acquainted," she said, nodding at the large Bengal.

After the introductions were complete and Crow had agreed to assist them on their Clan quest, Kitty proposed that they proceed with their initial plan to find some lunch. She emphasized the importance of marking the tree stump she had identified earlier—just before Crow's sudden appearance had scared them silly—and then split up to hunt. "Let's meet back here in one hour; don't worry if you haven't caught anything by then. Whatever we manage to hunt, we'll share with the group," she said, locking eyes with each cat to ensure there were no dissenting opinions.

Oscar smiled at Kitty, nodding his head in a gesture of respect similar to Crow's earlier. "You see, Kitty, you're already embodying the spirit of a Clan cat. They're all about cooperation and ensuring that no cat goes without food," he said with a purr of approval. He then turned and leapt towards the marked stump, scratching it for a moment, savoring the texture of the bark under his claws and leaving a scent of cedar and pine. Satisfied with his mark, he sprang away from the stump and made his way into the forest. "See you in an hour, happy hunting!" he called back as he vanished into the thicket. Despite never having caught anything in his previous hunting attempts in his twoleg garden, he felt a surge of confidence that this time would be different.

Kitty exchanged glances with Crow and Honey as Oscar took off. She couldn't help but smile at his enthusiasm. "Happy hunting, indeed," she laughed softly. After stretching and reaching her paws out, she stood tall and ventured into the trees, alert for any movement or sound that might signal prey.

(ahh! I’m so sorry! life’s been crazy & busy)

Honey | Former Kittypet | Tags: Oscar, Kitty & Crow

Honey watched anxiously as her friends darted off in seperate directions to hunt, smiling softly at Kitty before she departed. Her ears flattened against her head as she turned to examine Crow. The Loner didn’t seem like he had much luck hunting, considering his slim appearance, but who was she to judge. The she cat padded over to the stump to add her own scent of lavender and honey before turning to Crow again. “Good luck hunting… I hope you do actually meet us back here and agree to help us.” The cream colored she-cat commented before padding off in her own direction. The she-cat sped up a little to get some distance before coming to a haunt, scanning the forest. She opened her mouth slightly, taking in the scents around her. The crisp forest air, the musk of the dirt, and yes… a rodent of sorts. Honey swished her tail in excitement, instinctively lowering herself to the ground.

Crow | Loner | Tags: Oscar, Kitty & Honey

Crow watched the three depart as he stayed seated, letting out a small ‘hmph’ at Honey’s comment before she left. The charcoal colored tom reluctantly got to his paws, letting out a dramatic sigh as he did so. Might as well hunt, he hasn’t had anything to eat since he finished his travels last night. Should he really help these cats? The tom shrugged to himself as he padded over to a separate tree to make his own mark; sage and lemon balm. Crow then padded off in his own direct, opposite if the three others. Whether he was to return or not, his mind was set on finding a decent sized robin or sparrow to feast on.

(no worries! I totally get it haha)

As the final minutes ticked away on their agreed-upon hour, Kitty returned to the tree stump with a sense of accomplishment. Her tail was a proud banner behind her, and her deep blue eyes sparkled with triumph. Clasped gently in her mouth were her prizes: a plump chipmunk and a small mouse, both caught in a fortunate streak of hunting.
She reached the stump and laid down her catch. The scents of her companions were still fresh on the bark, a complex mosaic of their individual identities. She mused on how this was a glimpse into their future, marking the boundaries of a territory they would call their own—though Crow’s scent would be missing from that blend, given his current plans to go his own way. She took a moment to examine the charcoal bengal's marking a little longer, finding his lemony scent to be oddly soothing, which was surprising considering the tom's prickly personality.
Flicking her ears, the solid white she-cat leaned away from the stump and sat down to wait for the others, her sleek tail coming to wrap around her paws like a cozy scarf.
As she waited, the sky above began to darken as a blanket of smokey hued clouds rolled in, and a chill breeze stirred, carrying the scent of an impending storm. Kitty fluffed up her fur against the suddenly cool air and cast a wary glance at the sky, hoping the others would return before the rain began to fall.

Honey raised her head to look towards the sky, it was beginning to grow dark. Time for her to wrap it up. The she-cat returned to where she had hid her prey, picking up a small sparrow in her jaws. Proud of her catch, Honey held her tail high and made her way back to the meeting spot. Her fur was covered in leaves and twigs, but she felt a sense of accomplishment she hadn’t felt before; even it was one small sparrow. She hopes the other had better luck than she had. Her blue eye lit up as a familiar figure came into view and she picked up her pace. “Hi Kitty.” The she-cat greeted, voice muffled through feathers. She set down her sparrow next to Kitty’s prey, smiling softly. “Nice catch!” Honey purred, looking around the area. “Any sign of the other two?”

Crow | Loner | Tags: Kitty & Honey

Crow let out a quiet sigh, staring down at his kills. A small grey squirrel, a plump sparrow and a mouse. He had a decent haul, although he had planned to only catch something for himself. The tom flattened her ears against his head and cursed quietly under his breath. Why was he feeling such a pull to go back? The charcoal tom huffed as he got to his paws, picking up his prey in his mouth. Maybe something interesting would come from helping them. Crow took his time making it back, the sun slowly setting behind him as he walked. His ears perked as he heard the familiar voice of the tabby she-cat from early talking. The tom emerged from the brush, scanning the area to see who made it back. Both the she-cats were there, but what about the other tom? The Bengal made his way over to the two, setting down his prey next to theres. “The other one didn’t get lost did he?” Crow asked, slightly amused. He was confident he would be able to find Oscar if he was truly lost, but it was still slightly amusing.

(Its still day time, just an afternoon storm rolling in haha)

Kitty’s tail twitched as she sensed movement in the underbrush, her body tensing in anticipation. Yet, her anxiety melted away when Honey emerged, the familiar tabby’s presence a comforting sight. A sigh of relief passed Kitty’s lips as she observed Honey’s triumphant return, a lifeless sparrow held in her jaws, which she placed beside Kitty’s own catch. A chuckle broke free from Kitty as she surveyed Honey’s disheveled fur, adorned with an assortment of woodland debris. “Impressive catch yourself! I've found birds to be pretty difficult to snag,” She complimented earnestly. “Though is seems you’ve also snagged a bit of the forest as well,” she teased, gently flicking away a stray piece of foliage from Honey’s fur.

Crow arrived moments after honey, and his catch drew a look of surprise from Kitty. The squirrel he had secured was no small feat, especially given the abundance of trees offering refuge. Curiosity piqued, Kitty pondered briefly over Crow’s tactics and whether he might share his hunting wisdom.
As the bengal approached, Kitty greeted him with a cautiously friendly swish of her tail, though his words concerning Oscar caused her to tense once more. The hour for regrouping had passed, and with a storm gathering above, all had returned except for the dark-furred tom. “Given what happened this morning, it’s definitely possible he’s lost somewhere,” Kitty expressed with concern, her gaze drifting in the direction Oscar had ventured. “He really needs to hone his tracking skills if he’s going to embrace the wild,” she mused. “But what if he’s in trouble? Should we search for him?” she asked, already on her feet, ready to act.

Meanwhile....

Oscar stood defiant, his fangs exposed and his silhouette arched into a menacing curve. His inky coat bristled, doubling his size in appearance, as a deep growl resonated from his throat. Across the clearing, within a stone’s throw, an unfamiliar creature eyed the prize Oscar guarded so fiercely. The adversary was compact and robust, almost matching his size, with a head marked by stark black and white stripes, contrasting its mottled grey body. A potent scent emanated from it, causing Oscar’s nose to twitch in distaste, and its formidable claws glistened ominously.

The creature’s interest in the dove Oscar had painstakingly captured was undeniable. Though it was merely a small bird, it was Oscar’s very first catch, and he was loathed to surrender it to this surly resident of the woods. How was he to know that he currently faced a ravenous badger, equally inclined to feast on him as it was to pilfer his catch.

The badger suddenly feigned an attack, growling deeply in an attempt to intimidate. Oscar recoiled momentarily but held his ground with a fierce snarl. A tense standoff ensued, only to be shattered when the badger lunged in earnest.

Instinctively, Oscar’s paws lashed out, slashing across the badger’s face. Simultaneously, the badger’s claws raked Oscar’s chest. Both creatures let out cries of pain, the badger’s a shrill squeal, Oscar’s a defiant yowl.

(oh oops, I’m sorry about that)

Honey | (former) Kittypet | Tags: Kitty & Crow

Honey felt a purr escape as Kitty complimented her, making the she-cat hold her head high. “It wasn’t easy! It may be small but it sure gave me a hard time.” The tabby said with a small giggle. She then looked down at her fur, leaves and twigs sticking out from everywhere. Honey felt her fur grow hot with embarrassment as she quickly picked out the large pieces of forest clutter from her fur. “I guess I should learn how to hunt more gracefully.” Honey lifted her head as a twig snapped to the right of them, letting out a small sigh of relief as the lanky tom emerged from the brush. She felt herself tense at Crow’s question, and Kitty’s response didn’t exactly comfort her. What if Oscar was lost again? Her thoughts were cut short by a loud yowl, and Honey felt her heart drop to her stomach. She had lived next to Oscar long enough to know his voice, and that was definitely his. Honey’s eyes widened in fear and she turned to Kitty, fur on edge.”That’s definitely Oscar. Something’s wrong.” Honey said, turning towards the direction of the yowl. Crow’s voice was drowned out by Honey’s anxious thoughts. They couldn't loose each other in the first day! Before she knew it her paws were moving, at first walking but then running towards the sound. She didn’t know how to fight, she had never even gotten in a fight before, but she was ready to defend her friend.

Crow | Loner | Tags: Kitty & Honey

Crow acknowledged Kitty’s friendly greeting with a stoic dip of his head. He glanced at the growing kill pile, impressed that the two of them had caught anything at all. Crow reminded silent for a moment, looking up at the now grey sky. “If he’s lost we should try and find him soo-“ the tom was cut off by the sound of a loud yowl not far off in the distance. His fur stood on edge, claws becoming unsheathed almost instantly. He didn’t want to assume, but he figured if they followed that yowl they would find Oscar. “Although I don’t particularly want to… we should probably investigate that.” Crow said, turning towards the direction the yowl had come from. The tense feeling in Crow’s chest told him they would be potentially facing the groups first enemy. The charcoal Bengal hissed as a flash of cream tabby flew past him into the forest. “Hey, wait!” Crow yowled, swishing his tail in annoyance. He turned to Kitty, the only sensible cat left “I guess that’s our cue to go.” He sighed before running after Honey.

( Its no biggie! ^-^)

Kitty’s tail poofed out as Oscar’s cry cut through the air, a sound laced with both pain and fierce determination. Her ears pressed back against her head, and her pulse quickened. She spun towards the source of the noise, knowing Oscar was in undoubtably some kind of bind. She was about to respond to Honey’s comment but the tabby was already sprinting to Oscar’s aid. Kitty paused, a mix of shock and respect for Honey’s bravery washing over her. It was a bold move to dash into the unknown, yet it was also rash. Still, standing by was not an option. She couldn’t let Honey outdo her in courage and still consider herself a loyal friend. Gritting her teeth, she acknowledged Crow’s cue to move out with a firm nod, and they both chased after tabby she-cat.
Up above, the first rumble of thunder could be heard in the distance.
Spirits help them.

~~~~
Blood trickled down from the claw marks on his chest, dampening his fur. The stinging was sharp, yet it didn’t stop him from fiercely protecting his catch. The badger’s swipe wasn’t lethal, just painful. His own counterstrike wasn’t much better, leaving only superficial marks on the badger’s snout.
The badger, already irritable, was now downright furious, its snarl a clear warning. Oscar wondered if he should’ve just surrendered his prize.
But there was no time for second thoughts. The badger charged, not after the bird this time, but after him. Panic surged within Oscar, and he leapt aside, leaving behind the dove he’d fought so hard for. His life was worth more than a meal.
The badger was relentless, charging again with unexpected agility. Oscar dodged, narrowly missing snapping teeth but not the swipe that followed. It struck him hard, sending him rolling across the ground, breathless and gasping to reclaim the air that had been so rudely expelled from his lungs.
Struggling to stand, Oscar felt a fresh sting on his side—a parting gift from the badger’s claws. The badger was ready to charge once more, drool flinging from its jaws in anticipation of victory.
"Starclan...if you're real...help me," he thought desperately. The world around him seemed to slow down, and he could only watch and brace himself as the enraged badger drew closer. Fine, his lips curled in a snarl and the fear left his dark green eyes. If this was where he was going to die, he would not do it running away. He would face his foe like a warrior till the end!
Then, out of nowhere, a yowl, and a blur of fur leapt onto the badger’s back. The badger halted, its shriek piercing the air as it tried to shake off its new assailant.
Oscar watched, stunned, as the scene unfolded before him.
(imma leave this open ended, you decide if you want the cat on the badger's back to be Crow, Honey, or Kitty with your next post ^_~ )
(ooo okay! I’ll let Honey prove herself a little then c: )
Honey |(former) Kittypet | Tags: Everyone
Honey was fast, faster than she thought she was. The tabby moved through the forest swiftly, as if she had lived there her whole life. Maybe it was the adrenaline rush, or maybe it was some unseen force guiding her the right way. Whatever it was, Honey could soon hear the sounds of battle not far from her. Her heart felt like it was going to beat out of her chest but there was no going back no, it was time to prove herself. Various smells overwhelmed her senses as she drew closer. She could clearly smell Oscar, blood, and the smell of the unknown creature attacking Oscar. The cream colored cat unsheathed her claws, building up her speed to jump. Honey leapt from the bushes, only having time to direct her attack before landing. Her claws sunk into the badger and she latched into the scruff on its neck with her jaws. Her nose scrunched in disgust at the smell of the creature but she refused to let go. She felt her body getting flung around as the badger attempted to flip her off. The third shake and Honey felt herself go flying, the air getting knocked out of her lungs as her back hit the tree to her left. Before she could get up, the badger was already there, swinging it large paw down and raking it’s claws against her side. Honey yowled in pain, jumping to her paws, this was not the time to focus on that. She aimed to leap onto its back again before it could make another strike. Success. Honey dug her claws even tighter into the badger’s skin, resulting in a loud shriek coming from the very angry creature. She hoped she would distract it long enough for the other two to get here. Maybe their numbers would scare it off.
The sounds of battle ahead of them made the toms stomach turn, glancing slightly at Kitty as the ran after Honey. Would they survive their first battle? Crow turned his attention back to the path ahead, avoiding any obsticles on the forest floor as he moved. The scent of blood, cats and badger filled his nostrils. “Badger.” He hissed, hoping he was loud enough for Kitty to hear. At least they would know what they were up against before they saw it. Crow was quick to unsheathe his claws, fear creeping up inside him. Badgers were known to be aggressive and territorial, they weren’t a species that backed down easily. However maybe it would get intimidated by the four cats. The Bengal burst into the clearing, surprised to see Honey clinging to the back of the furious badger. His eyes got to Oscar, who wasn’t looking too good but seemed like he would live. Crow almost let out a sigh of relief, but the problem wasn’t over yet. “You go left I’ll go right.” Crow called to Kitty, hackles raised to appear bigger. Crow’s eyes locked on the badger and he began slinking towards the right, looking for an opening. The Bengal hissed and gave the badger a warning swipe, hoping to intimidate it into thinking they had it surrounded.
(love it! gotta give her props)
Honey was like a streak of lightning through the trees, her tabby stripes a blur against the backdrop of the forest. It was as if she had the instincts of a wildcat, moving with a speed and precision that seemed as though she was born in these woods. Maybe it was the adrenaline pumping through her veins, or maybe there’s some kind of magic at work, guiding her straight to the heart of the fray. Either way Kitty was hard pressed to keep up and the creamy she-cat quickly out distanced them.
As she and Crow drew closer, the sounds of the struggle hit Kitty like a wave. Though the sound of her own heart pounding in her ears nearly drowned it out. There was no turning back now. This was the moment to be brave, to show what she was made of. The air was thick with scents – the tang of blood, and the musky odor of the creature they were up against. 'Badger' she heard Crow hiss, causing her to swallow thickly. She'd never actually seen a badger, but she'd heard how fearsome they were from strays who had. It was overwhelming to know that was what they were about to face, but she pushed through it, claws out and ready for action.
As she and Crow arrived on scene, Kitty’s breath caught at the sight of Honey fiercely clinging to the back of a raging badger, while Oscar stood battered and shocked. Crow’s quick thinking snapped her back to reality, and she moved left as he went right. Mimicking Crow’s actions, Kitty bared her teeth, hissing with intensity, and swiped at the badger’s hindquarters as it turned to face Crow’s attack.
Oscar’s growl soon joined the fray, and Kitty saw him reengage, striking the badger’s side as it turned on her. Together, the three of them drove the badger into a frenzy, attacking from all sides, keeping it off balance while Honey maintained her hold.
Eventually exhausted by their relentless assault, the badger finally shook Honey off and fled into the forest, leaving the group of felines to catch their breath, victorious but worn from the battle.
Honey rolled a few times on the forest floor after getting flung off, too tired to try and land on her paws. The tabby propped herself up the best she could, her muscles aching from holding onto the badger so tightly. Honey held her breath as the badger lumbered off, expecting it to return. The tabby let out a sigh of relief when moments passed and the creature didn’t return. As the adrenaline began to leave her body, the pain on her side began to grow. Honey looked down at her wide and her eyes widened as she stared at her blood soaked coat, trying to remain calm. The words of her mother ran through her head, the she-cat was suddenly grateful for those long and boring herb ‘classes’ her mother gave. She then looked over to Oscar, who was in a much worse state than her. They needed something to stop the bleeding. “Cobweb.” Honey said, forcing the word out between gasps of breath. “Cobweb… stops… bleeding.” She panted, feeling herself sink back down to the forest floor. Her limbs were done, she had never used that much strength in her life and her muscles were tired. Comfrey would help the wounds as well, but she wasn’t sure what it looked like and didn’t want to use the wrong thing. “Crow if you know… what comfrey looks like… grab some.” Honey added.
“On it.” Crow said, panting as well. The battle with the badger had made Crow feel more confident about the small group of cats, seeing that even if they weren’t strong they were at least brave. Bravery and courage had potential to get you places in the wild. However, he wasn’t about to admit that he was impressed. The tom scanned the forest floor, gaze landing on a thick stick nearby. He picked the stick up and his mouth and wandered off, in the opposite direction of the badger. The tom was relieved to see that the forest wasn’t short of cobwebs, twirling a few he found up around the stick before looking around. He could vaguely remember what comfrey looked like. He had used it before to heal his wounds, but that had been a long time ago. Since then he just let his wounds heal naturally. The tom’s gaze landed on a green plant with purple blooms. He stared at the plant for a moment, he was sure it was comfrey. It was as if the stars aligned. Crow couldn’t help but scrunch his nose momentarily. Was Starclan actually helping the group? He shook the thoughts away, there was no time. The tom carefully set down the stick for a moment and dug at the roots of the plant, tearing up ehat he thought was enough before picking up the stick again in his already stuffed mouth and returning back to the group. Crow set down his pile next to Oscar, “I hope this is enough.”
Crow examines the two cats, Oscar clearly in worse shape. “Kitty, could you help me chew up these roots? We can put it on their wounds before we put the cobweb on. I’m no Medicine Cat but I’ve had to treat my own wounds before.” The Bengal said, beginning to chew up on the roots, making a face at the bitter flavor.
