New Eyes!Two new eye colours are now available in the Oasis!
Hetero Grey & Blue (50% Hetero Grey & Blue, 20% Grey, 20% Blue, 10% Malachite) Hetero Blue & Grey (50% Hetero Blue & Grey, 20% Grey, 20% Blue, 10% Malachite) They work the same as other Hetero eyes previously released! Please note, the eye colours will only pass themselves, not each other. This means that, for example, Hetero Blue & Grey will pass Hetero Blue & Grey, Blue, Grey, and Malachite, but not Hetero Grey & Blue. Thank you for the suggestion, 🗡 The Knave 🗡 (#90472)!
New Backgrounds and Decors!You can find three new backgrounds in Monkey Business!
There is a new aging animal decor within the Oasis: Aging Black Leopard!
These decors adapt to the age of your lion's current stage. If your lion is a cub, the decor will be a cub. If your lion is an adult, the decor will be an adult! These are affected by the "Eye of" decors, as well—so using an Eye of the Kitten on your adult lion to make them display as Cub Young stage will cause the decor to display its Cub Young stage file. New Decor Effect!Starting from the release of this update, any lionesses you claim in explore by giving them a Leopard Orchid will come with a decor effect automatically equipped!   The decor effect, called Keepsake Orchid, can only be achieved by giving an NCL a Leopard Orchid while exploring. It is automatically equipped to the NCL you claim, and once unequipped, the item is destroyed. It cannot be removed and given to other lions within your pride. This is not retroactive—the Keepsake Orchid effect cannot be applied to lionesses given Leopard Orchids prior to this update's release. I've kinda givin' up on the Journey to Vredefort Crater quest since it's so much work but very little reward. I enjoy the story but after getting to the second den hopping quest I just felt it wasn't worth it... interstellar isn't my favorite base either but I really like following storylines.. Wish there was just more reward for such a long quest. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

RE: Journey to Vredefort Crater story feedback The story could really use a disclaimer / warning about sensitive topics and gruesome visuals. It wasn't until I got to the lion at the leaderboards that I realized the story was alluding to actual cancer - the illness. This realization affected me pretty badly after having lost close family to cancer and I would have appreciated the warning years ago so I could have avoided doing the story until I was in a better place. I think it would be beneficial to add it now for future players who haven't done it yet, since a large number of players have voted that they haven't started or completed it yet. On mechanics feedback: - The herb requirement is very steep, and the actual cost of the herbs for players who don't have large hoards costs more than the worth of the item if you aren't willing to buy one at a time from the beetle post, so it's disproportionate. - This cost is compounded by the amount of craftables that were added which demand herbs introduced since Crater quest was launched. - The bit advising players that the boost is unnecessary has - in my experience across both accounts and from other players I've spoken to - been poor advice, as it seems the boost actually does make a big difference. I think the advice claiming it's not necessary should be removed considering the cost of trying again. - Visiting dens is incredibly difficult for players stuck on mobile or those with poor internet connections. So this part of the quest can be very excluding for players. I was stuck on mobile for a portion of my first Vredefort quest and just gave up doing it til I had net back. It's unique and a good story that I feel just needs a warning on the tin and some adjustments to make the quest more worth it. It's time-gated and pretty costly to complete for newer players (and even some vets). FYI as of this month, Interstellar Remnants is worth only 25 GB on branches, so the herb requirement is showing its age even worse now. elriq (#138907)'s suggestion for smaller rewards along the way is also something that I think should be considered.
