What's the issue? Please include any error messages you receive and as much detail as possible.
When I attempt to mute a user from the chat box (smaller chat, visible from nearly all parts of the site), the mute does not take effect. The user and their messages remain visible, and checking "Manage Muted Users" states that I have no users muted. Going to the dedicated Chat Room (larger chat, accessible from the forums), I am able to mute users without issue.

Any links relating to this bug? For example, if a particular lion is bugging, what is the link to that lion?

Please provide us with step by step explanation how this bug happened so we can attempt to replicate it. If it's complex, please include screenshots where possible:
Clicking the three dots in the corner of a message in the Chat Box, selecting "Mute User", and clicking "OK" yields no results. Going to the Chat Room, clicking the three dots, selecting "Mute User", and clicking "OK" hides the user's messages and adds them to the muted list.
