It seems to be pretty easy. People are saying 4-6 full bars so you can get it done in a day at least. But it says day 4 on the bottom. So I don’t know if that’s another quest or the day we get the boosts

Part 3 is just finding 5 jags in explore than then finding 5 Jags in other people's dens.

On the other hand, while my side finished almost immediately

My Main is still going on even after all-day's natural energy refills (2/5 Explore, 5/5 Dens).
(No encounters skipped).

I seem to be observing the full range of luck here, so very interesting.

I’ve hit 1,000 steps, and am about 1/3 to 1/2 way through. It seems to be luck, I’ve got an entire energy bar-2 energy bars with nada. I suppose it’s meant to be difficult, we will just have to keep trying!

In the most respectful way, I’m glad others are struggling with this as I thought it was just me and I was getting frustrated.. I’ve got all explore steps done with about 7 sightings!

Just visited this thread a few minutes ago because I wondered if I was the only one struggling...I reached 1000 steps a couple days ago but have been stuck on the encounters, I have about a dozen left before I can move on. I've even used Hyena Butter, Bone Marrow, and Energy Boosts when I can afford them

Crossing my fingers that I can finish this today so I can move on. Good luck to the rest of you!

I used 10 energy boosts, the daily energy boost and level up energy boost with the event turned off and hyena butter. That’s a total of 13 energy bars. 0 encounters. Hit 1000 steps on day 2 and have been stuck since. Wondering at this point if there’s a bug on my account that’s preventing me from finding them.

My side account on the other had, I log in once a day. I finished the encounters yesterday, which seems normal. There’s definitely something going on with my main :/

Same, I've dumped 38!! bars of energy into this quest, and my counter looks like this:
1000/1000 steps taken in explore.
2/20 more tracks found.

I didn't get a single encounter until I completed the steps counter. Meanwhile my side is on the last legs with about 10 tracks away from completing the tracks found, with the same 38 bars of energy (plus the boots from hyperactive). Kinda weird, just as frustrating. Dunno how they figured that it should take three to four days to complete on average when RNG just plain hates a lot of us.
Maybe they figured we all have meat pies laying around to stuff in our Lead's faces but alas I've uses them up trying to do all the RNG dailies from last month.
