I’m so tired of the trading center, going on there and seeing such low prices for lions and mutations that are supposed to sell really well. It takes the fun away from breeding lions for me. As I pointed out in chat earlier, I used to breed dwarfs and polys, I’d get a lion scrot and breed them and used to I could sell them and get plenty of GB back for them. Now I can’t make a profit, I just lose the GB. It’s tiring because breeding is supposed to be a big part of lioden. And I know, there’s clans that are trying to fix the problem. I LOVE those clans, I’m in the collector myself. But it just doesn’t feel like they’re fixing anything. I know, that might sound rude. It’s just that so many special bases, muties, hybrids, and even Rossettes are born each day that it doesn’t seem to work. I want to keep playing Lioden and enjoying it but most of the item CRB projects, if you do get a mutie, you only get a mutie that sells for 500 SB at the most and then all that GB was wasted. So I don’t have a solution for it other than everyone raising their prices but that’d probably never work. And Again, no hate to the Collector or any other clan, I very much appreciate what you’re trying to do, it’s great and I hope that it’ll work out in the end. But yeah, that’s my rant, I’d love to hear any ideas anyone else has for fixing the market, or any ways that people are fixing the market that I’m not aware of!! But this is a ranting post, you can rant here about whatever you’d like, I’m sure if love to listen 2 players like this post! Like? |

I'm a newer player. I joined in December of last year. Games sometimes have a learning curve. That, again, makes them fun. There's some sort of payoff for your effort. I see this argument about protecting newbies a lot, and I find it both condescending and a little short-sighted. Sometimes, if you want something (e.g. to be good at a video game or rich in one) you need to put some effort in. I don't think that counts as "gatekeeping" (a word I wish the internet would do away with forever), nor does it mean the economy needs an overhaul. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

Thats awesome but for people with no patience like me it gets frustrating since I dont have a lot of time bc I have work and I cant sit at home and play lioden for 12 hours straight, so I hate the prices and the game but I stay for my friends and bc of my attachment to my dumb lions 0 players like this post! Like I said, that's a personal problem. As someone who works a full time job, it definitely is still a game you can excel in. But it also just sounds like this game is not for you (which is fine). But it doesn't mean a fundamental aspect of the game has to change to appease you. 2 players like this post! Like? |

I never said it had to. Isn't this forum called 'lion prices, ranting and stuff'? It's where you can RANT about the dumb prices. I also think that easy to breed muties are frustrating because you cant even make a profit from the gb you spent. 0 players like this post! Like? |

tbh this market is why I only breed/keep lions I personally think are beautiful and enjoy; a BO here or there, but if we try to keep up, everything gets old fast and you just burn a ton of money, energy, etc. I'm a very old player (joined in 2013!) so yeah, I've personally seen it all go down. I sorta really like the RLC market though; it's a way to keep lions fresh and valuable, not relying on specific markings for value (back when I was newish to the game the hot thing was vitiligos and gold panther, for instance) But that is marking-wise; mutie-wise I just don't even try. Everything new is pay-to-win, specially hybrids, because you need to spend a bunch on CRBs and whatnot so whoever has the most GB to spend will of course have them first. I lowkey despise hybrids for that reason. Sadly it is what it is, a lot of people thrive in it, but to me (and I assume many of you) it's just tiring, so we just gotta play in the way we like to otherwise we'll get a bit too upset at lion pixels on our screens 1 player likes this post! I am not always able to get in 10+ hours a day playing. I do have other real life things to handle. But in the past 2-3 months of being back after almost a year of being gone. I have been able to raise currency for myself. I just got something I didn't have. And it's been in the game for 6 years (Mutation was added in 2018). I finally was able to get a Double Uterus, which is something I have tried for in the past and each time have failed. I also just last year finally got my territory over 40 slots on my side, after I worked my butt off to get it there. Lioden is a game that takes time. You need to work for things. If you sell during the month something is new/available, it won't sell well. But wait a month or two and you can make a profit. 0 players like this post! Like? |

sakkiye thats what I was trying to say but im very bad at wording. It sucks because it's not fair and it's an unattainable goal to reach unless you were blessed with event currency. Im trying to say it SUCKS you have to even rely on selling crap that gives barely any profit to get things you actually like. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Easy or hard doesn't matter too much to me, although I do like at least having to put in a moderate amount of effort - I just want some stability. XD Or at least a decent clue what to price things at, some rhyme or reason for what something is priced. But I'm not good at keeping up with fluctuating price trends, so in the end I end up....just staying in my own bubble and not participating much unless I REALLY want/need something. I simply don't have the mental spoons to keep up with the trends and economy of a place like this. But I'm also at a point in my life where this game is just a time-killer/something to fill up my spare time, rather than something I'm too invested in anymore. Which comes back to the whole, 'I don't mind putting in a moderate amount of effort,' to get what I want, because it gives some mini-quest feel to my time-wasting. XD I /was/ really lucky when I came back from my couple-year hiatus to having made a lot of passive GB income by people having bought my custom decor while I was away, and it is nice to be able to afford some nice things to get me restarted, but I know I'll be back to the struggle-bus once it is used up. Edit: @sakkiye (#22325) Oh man, remembering the old days - when I joined, Fiery was the hot new thing, and breeding special bases was and interesting time because they could throw not only their own special base, but any special base that came before it. Good times. XD 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 30/06/24 @ 17:58:58 by Ulfruna (#19599) |

I myself get some income every once in a while with art sales, but I'm an adult so that's not always possible XD A lot of items have been 'devalued' over time, but to be honest, you gotta grind for the right things to maximize your profit regarding anything bought with event currency, and have the patience to wait a couple months to sell it, whoever stored like 10 crunchies and sells them today is gonna make a bajillion GB 0 players like this post! I can tell you this. Buying Decor is never a good idea if you want to resell. If you plan to try and make a few GB, always go for Bases/Breeding items when they are there. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Lioden truly is a game of patience and earning currency is almost all strategy imo, and timing things right, kinda like other economies- might not sound as fun but that's kind of the the thing about people-driven economies, lots of ups and downs, but you really can turn a profit if you play a certain strategy of selling and stuff 0 players like this post! I think it’d be nice if a popular player made a basic pricing guide so that people could follow that, and I agree it’s very much strategy, I’m trying to get lions ready for tomorrow for the pulsar base, as I’ve never need good at monthly bases, but hey they’re worth a good 20 so GB 0 players like this post! unfortunately that would be kind of hard to keep updated since prices fluctuate a lot 0 players like this post! Like? |
