So- I'm doing the Invasion of Spots quest currently and, like, okay. On one hand, yeah, it makes sense that it's difficult and may take awhile to complete, but... I think right now the odds of encounters are... a little TOO low. Like, I've used over 50 energy bars at this point, and I have still only found ONE single scent mark. That's... a little insane, imo. Especially when I need /10/ of them. And I've only found 7 tracks, when I need /20./ Like at this rate it's gonna take over 500 full energy bars to get all the encounters, and I think that's a bit overkill tbh. Sure, maybe they should be somewhat rare, but not THAT rare. Hell I'd even be all for a paid item you can buy that increases adventure encounter chances or something... But I really would like to be able to complete this in less than half a year, preferably without having to spend hundreds on GB for energy boosts. |D |

I agree! I get it's a supposed to take a while, but the small encounter rate is pretty discouraging for many people  1 player likes this post! Like? |

It feels like it's downright IMPOSSIBLE to do in a reasonable amount of time without spending a ton of money on energy boosts, hyena butter, roasted lambs etc. A normal user without a ton of GB is gonna be stuck on this ONE part of the quest for months as is. Hell, I'm buying energy boosts etc and it's still taking ME forever! Like I literally just bought 20 energy boosts, used all of them, and made almost no progress at all. x.x 1 player likes this post! I recommend you disable event encounters and use catnip! Some people say hyena butter works! I don't know if I was lucky, but I only used up 2 energy boosts I got for my birthday, but the catnip really helped me I'm sorry, but I don't support this, I wish you the best of luck! 0 players like this post! I've already disabled event encounters and am using hyena butter. Not sure why catnip would help as that increases NCL encounter rate? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Disabling event encounters is a godsend fr. Still a pain in the ass, but it'll take like, a week to complete instead of 500 years. Which feels much more reasonable for a hybrid (I feel like it's mandatory for a quest for hybrid odds to be a *bit* of a pain, especially since you're guaranteed to get it once you start.... *eventually*) Hyena butter is clutching too but I'm running out and don't wanna spend GB on more sighs. Been using hyena butter once a dayish when I've got a energy refill ready to go Also!! yeah I just tried the catnip thing and I think it's more of a detriment than a help, bc you get SO MANY NCL encounters that has to reduce the chances of adventure encounters, right??? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Okay so, with a little experimentation... somehow it seems combining catnip + hyena butter is possible, despite the fact you'd think they would cancel eachother out. Doing this also SEEMS to increase the rate of IoS encounters. Idk if maybe I just got lucky with RNG, or there's an actual difference, but combing catnip + hyena butter led to me getting more encounters. It still took me like 40 more energy boosts to finally complete this stage of the quest, so like, the odds are still pretty insane if you don't have the GB for boosts, but. catnip + hyena butter seems to make the odds just a tiiiiiiny bit higher. 0 players like this post!
