So- I expect some people might instinctively "no support" this just based on the fact this would take a lot of work, and honestly? Fair. However...

There is a lot of... extremely dated art for the lions in this game- Particularly default cub art, adolescents, main males, and the default lioness art. Currently, they contrast quite a bit with the newer art.

Now, I'm fully aware updating these would take a lot of work, and probably a few years to actually roll out- but I think it would be extremely worth it in bringing all of the lion art up to the same standard of the newer poses, mutation art, etc.

Now- to avoid the issue of completely /discarding/ the old art, there could potentially be new "pose applicators" in Oasis that restore the old art for people that still like it, while newer art would become the new "default".

As part of this, I'm suggesting upon the release of the "Spirited" male pose, perhaps making it replace the default male lion art, and turning the current default art into a buyable "pose" instead.

I would suggest making a new and different male lion art, but considering how much work is going into Spirited alone, I don't see that happening. I'm not even sure if we'll be getting any more male poses after that one, period.

As far as replacing cub, adol, and lioness, however, I can imagine that being much more doable- although this may have certain restrictions such as certain mutations still using the older art- a compromise I'd be perfectly fine with.

And again, I'd imagine this to be a sort of... "big overhaul project" sort of thing to put on the backburner until the OTHER major planned updates are completed, like the site recode etc, and something they can take their time on, and possibly release in "stages". (i,e. releasing each new growth stage one at a time.)
