So full disclosure: I've never played an evil king. I have a pretty strong case of hyperempathy and I'm just extremely sentimental, so choosing the 'mean' options in explore tends to make me feel bad. So I usually end up with pretty high karma. But from what I understand, pretty much everyone thinks evil karma yields better rewards (namely white lion pelts, which make for excellent nesting material)- and unfortunately I'm inclined to agree. A lot of good karma rewards can still be obtained through other means and aren't all that rare I don't think it's fair to reward in-game 'cruelty' more than in-game 'kindness', especially as some players just might not feel comfortable with doing what it takes to earn evil karma.Sso I think we could stand to give slightly better rewards for good karma players as well (*especially* nesting material.) The elephant skull I get from the black lion is an AWESOME reward but isn't as 'useful' as white lion pelts, which can be used both as toys and as nesting material. Feel free to suggest how you'd improve the good karma rewards, as I don't really have many strong ideas right now. The only one that came to mind was perhaps an encounter where you'd scare off a poacher, causing him to drop behind an animal pelt (could perhaps be something new, like a leopard or cheetah pelt, to make it 'distinct' from the white lion encounter.) I had an idea for flavor text, at least: "It's that same shady-looking poacher you keep seeing! He looks like he's carrying the remains of another big cat that he's killed for his own selfish gains." Unsure of what a neutral or bad karma option for this encounter would be...but I did write out the good karma option! Roar!- You roar at the poacher as loud as you can. Terrified, he abandons his kill. It seems as if he's going to rethink his life. You respectfully carry the remains back to your den. |

I like my alt king to be good, and I find there's really very little benefit there. So I definitely agree. The most that is helpful is say, the elephant skull or hippo drop, but then weigh against the white lion pelt - the white lion pelt can nest 3 lionesses, which is 3 nesting items basically - if bought at the munkee shop yippee its 60sb per. Meanwhile the other 2 items.... are significantly less value. Overall, my experience is that my good lion tends to find more food, but during events like this one, that's definitely not true lol rly all my good lion is getting is some water..thirsty girl I definitely prefer my evil main for that reason, it just makes more sense SB and items wise. Having a good side makes it easier to unlock diverse shops during events without worrying about karma, though, as I just choose POS/neg options based on the king. But maybe this is jus me! 1 player likes this post! Like? |
