What is it?
The HSD is made as a means of quickly finding active, worth-while studs that do not have a heritage. Which is to say, that both their father and mother are listed as 'unknown'.

Why document this?
If you care about heritage, are playing a lineage challenge, or are just trying to appeal to the widest market, then this is intended to be a way to diversify your pride while also keeping your lion's lines as short as possible.
