Event UpdateNew Shop ItemsSpider Warning - New Beetle Nemeses!We're adding two new Beetle Nemeses to each shop - Beetle Nemesis: Galeodes arabs in The Destroyers and Beetle Nemesis: Pelinobius muticus in The Preservers! Below the spoiler is the artwork for the nemeses, and some blurred images for them in the shop table. If you're arachnophobic or just don't want to see spiders, please do not open the spoiler! If you have access to uBlock or AdBlock, you can enter galeodesarabs and pelinobiusmuticus within the blocked elements to avoid seeing the images site-wide. You can also follow the Lioden Wiki Guide to Blocking Images!
New EncountersFour new encounters have been added to the game!
These encounters introduce some new items, so let us explain! - A weak antelope encounter might drop a Kob Horn. This item is similar to the way Roasted Vultures and Shamanic Stews work, except it boosts the Agility stat. Only one of these items can be active at one time during a breeding.  - A new Mysterious Stranger encounter (albeit less rare than the one that drops Solaris) might drop a Mushroom Brew. Using this item on a stud will use 1% less energy per breeding until the breeding is successful. You cannot stack multiple uses of the item on one stud—only one Mushroom Brew can be active at one time on a stud.  - Oh, and this? Road Cone. It's just a  New Crafting ItemDuring the month of August, you can now craft Korobela. You can use this item when in the claiming screen to reroll an NCL. A brand new NCL will be created when this item is used. It will not reroll an NCL into a chased NCL, nor will it roll a chased NCL into another chased NCL. This item can only be used once per claim, and only before you start making moves to impress a lioness. It also cannot be used when claiming Wenet or her cousins. Recipe: 25x African Cucumber, 20x Aloe Leaf, 15x Stripped Cacti, 10x Water Root, 5x Herb: Marula Fruit. New Mane ColoursThree new mane colours have been added to the game: Ruffian, Scoundrel, and Ukame! These mane colours can only be achieved through breeding to a Savage Stud with the relevant mane colour.
Addressing Savage StudsAs some of you may have noticed, a Scoundrel stud was released today (9th August) despite us stating in the August event news post that Bandit and Scoundrel would not be included in the Savage Stud lineup.We polled this past week to gauge feedback from the community about whether you all would like to see more than 6 Savage Studs during the event, and the responses were so overwhelmingly positive towards more studs that we implemented a new stud system to give more flexibility, therefore allowing more to be created! This comes with a caveat. We will be releasing more than 6 Savage Studs, and Bandit will be included in the lineup as well; however, we will not be cycling through previous studs this time around for the rest of the month. This means that through the remaining days of August, every day will have a different Savage Stud. Once the August event ends, we will release another poll to collect feedback on the system, and see if any adjustments may be desired for future years.

Once the raffle lioness is delivered to her owner, the marking is then set to Tier 2! Tier 5 (Applicator/Enclave) * - Feline 10 Auburn - Feline 10 Decennial - Feline 10 Ebony - Feline 10 Elysian - Feline 10 Maroon - Feline 10 Orchid * These are available straight away within their respective marking applicators!

Feralis, Maofelis, and NimravusWe've added in some additional recolours for Feralis, Maofelis, and Nimravus markings!Tier 6 (RMA Exclusive) - Feralis Cimmerian - Feralis Doubloon - Feralis Pistachio - Maofelis Cimmerian - Maofelis Doubloon - Maofelis Pistachio - Nimravus Cimmerian - Nimravus Doubloon - Nimravus Pistachio Note: We'll be slowly updating files for Feralis, Maofelis, and Nimravus. A lot of older mutation .PSDs for these marking shapes are lost, and we're trying to recover the files to recolour them! It looks like some of the markings need to be recreated via selections as they are lost completely, but we hope they won't differ too much from originals (e.g. Adult Dwarfism).
Following Up on "Discussion: Raffle Lionesses"Thank you to everyone who participated in this discussion topic! Many of you gave very helpful comments with a lot of insight. We will be taking this week to summarise feedback and construct polls to see how the majority prefers to move forward, and we aim to release these polls next Friday.

I'm on the lets make two to three studs. Per day so we can get rerolls, Maybe lower the cost. I just hate the new implementation atm and I know not everyone breeds to the studs or cares. But theres a lot of us who were planning on breeding twice or a few times after we see everything. But now they removed that. They haven't shown us any of the other studs. So I am gonna just not breed this year which sucks. Its very sad that it wasn't communicated day one for studs. Cuz I wouldhave bred to that nomad had I known. I was planning on breeding to the nomad his next time around and nothing. I think I might set up a suggestion. I dunno. Something I really liked from the Raffle Lioness news discussion post was that filler comments that are just "NEWSSSSSS" would get deleted, allowing actual comments regarding changes and potential changes to show up and not get buried. Maybe something like that could be implemented for development updates? (The other 3 community updates each month wouldn't need to be changed) I do like that all of the maneater studs rotating daily will promote greater marking and trait diversity though. 6 studs wasn't enough for sure. Though I do agree that picking and choosing which ones to actually spend CB and DB on will be harder now since you won't really know what's going to appear for the rest of the month. Cost reduction would be nice, or a selection of 2-3 males per day like someone else suggested earlier! Mushroom Brew seems kind of worthless in my opinion ;-; 1% energy per breeding attempt on ONE lioness until she's bred is really... lackluster lol. If she takes 10 attempts I guess you can save 10% energy which is now enough for 2 more attempts, but it just makes more sense to buy a chasteberry for 100 SB and not have to do that many attempts in the first place. If it worked for a full rollover when applied to your male, mass-breeders would likely actually want it! The savage stud manes are SO GOOD. Hope to see bandit, vagabond, etc next year. I do wish the CB cost was lowered as I will be scraping by with both forms of currency and carefully having to choose which studs to breed to going forward this month but I appreciate the compromise! @Terrinthia [G1] (#97101) has more use then one of the other new item which I personally feel is pointless (Korobela) but I do agree it needs improving, either making it so it lasts for the day/multiple breedings or makes it like a 5% reduction. unless of course its gonna be a really common item, but I don't think it is. 1 player likes this post! The Korobela crafting item seems like it COULD be a good item in certain instances for event NCLs, people looking for combo factors, etc. but it seems far too expensive for an item that isn't going to have much use for the majority of players? I understand that there's a need for more items that use herbs up since there are a lot of users who frequently battle beetles dozens of times a day, but 75 herbs seems like an absurd number to reroll a basic NCL ONCE. As an Asiatic breeder, I see the potential in it, but let's go for numbers here: Ignore special bases for a moment: There are 31 common NCL bases, if the system works so you cannot get the same base again...that's a 3.3% chance(1/30) you're going to get the base you want. So realistically...only 75/2250 herbs are going to be legitimately useful to me if I'm rerolling trying to get a Cream NCL. There are only 3 NCL bases that can be used year-round for combo breeding(Dusty/Cream/Caramel), so even if someone is breeding all of them, each Korobela still has a 3/30(1/10) chance to give you something you want, so 75/750 herbs will be "useful" I get that many herbs are fairly useless right now, but if I can get 20~30 claiming chances per energy bar with a catnip, it's going to cost me 1500~2250 herbs to reroll all those lionesses, and that's not even guaranteeing that I successfully claim an NCL when it finally rolls to the base I need. 5 players like this post!
