Dear community, thank you for your feedback within August's Development Update. We have made some adjustments to the Korobela item: - Using a Korobela on a game-generated NCL now has a 5% chance to pick a lioness from the chased pool for you to claim. - Using a Korobela on a chased lioness will always pick another chased NCL for you to claim from the chased pool. If there are no chased lionesses in the pool to grab, you will be notified, and the item will be returned to your inventory. - When using Korobela on a chased lioness, the lioness you previously encountered will be reinserted into the chased pool to be found again later, anywhere from 12-48 hours later (which is the same timeframe for how long it takes a player-chased lioness to potentially make it into the pool). It is possible to come across the same chased lioness you used a Korobela on previously, but the mechanic still exists that prevents the player who chased the lioness from encountering her. We also acknowledge that we introduced the Savage Stud change too abruptly. We saw many players disappointed with Bandit and Scoundrel being excluded this year, and we worked fast to implement a change to stud counts before the tier unlocked. The amount of future studs will only grow year by year, but we don't want to remove bases every year to rotate them. This year, we will create 12 or 14 studs, and keep the original rotating mechanic so that you get a chance to breed with the first few studs again. As of writing this news post, 5 studs have already been made available. Depending on the total number created, either all studs should be able to cycle through a second time and be bred to again (if we made 12), or the first 10 studs will cycle through a second time and be bred to again, and the last 4 would only be available one time only (if we made 14). We have been reading the feedback presented and will keep this in mind to think on future solutions. We've seen the ideas presented about implementing a group of studs to switch out each day, along with others that have been posted, but we cannot say for certain yet what mechanic we will implement. Thank you for including this as a news update, I had a moment of "O.O IS IT FRIDAY?!" but alas only Monday. Would it be possible to have other game updates or modifications and notices or teasers posted in Chat similarly catalogued? Or do they usually get posted in the next News update? For example, I remember a warning message about how the savage studs might not rotate this year if the game poll wins, possibly from either Abbey or Katze (likely in Chat!) but when I was trying to find it again yesterday to soothe some nerves it wasn't in the News post or the Poll description... so I just stayed silent. It must have been an official's message only in Chat (which I only had open that day very briefly because I know sometimes Admins/devs are in chat after big updates! <3) I understand that sometimes we get Extra Info, clarifications, etc when the devs and comm mngr are in chat, or little teasers and hints as a bonus for being active during a brainstorm session, same as you can read through every post to see if there's any mod responses to player's questions, but it seems unfortunate that some players who either don't use chat or are just checking in briefly throughout their daily routines will never see those messages. It's not always possible to grab a screenshot to share later, and without an 'official' flare or post designed to catalogue these little things ... technically others would have no way to know those aren't edited images created solely to sow chaos. [ Re: possible "But those aren't always set in stone!" concern: I feel like so long as they're clearly labeled or categorized as passing thoughts, ideas, or things still up for discussion but not to be implemented or under development yet there's no worry about being misquoted as 'you promised!' or 'you said!' Maybe a Think Tank to follow along with, or a section similar to Game development and Suggestions board, if the News posts are too 'official' to use for cataloguing extra information? There have been plenty of spaces for players to share their thoughts implemented recently, but not as many places to check for actual 'official' word/buzz/news in response. ] It's also difficult to follow up on the possible implementation of old polls' winning results, such as the 'Should we bring back Treasure Hunting?' landslide win. I know there were some strong opinions shared in chat at the time, and it was all just pondering, but those are gone to the wind & time- so even though the 'Yes, please!' Poll option won (Re: "Should we have treasure hunting appear in a few other events as well (but for a shorter time)?"), following News posts there's been no action? Even if it's just still under development, or the exact mechanics and event as well as timeframe (I seem to remember a 1 week frame being suggested, again from chat though a week was suggested when the poll was introduced as well...) are still under consideration, if devs or players active in chat to see a question & response know that implementation has been pushed back to after January 2025 or whenever it would be lovely for the rest of the playerbase to know. I appreciate how many updates and new things have been added as of late, but I feel it's important for everyone playing to have the same knowledge and information about the game's future.
