-LOCKED - Korobela and Stud Feedback | |
Posted on 2024-08-12 03:35:32
Dear community, thank you for your feedback within August's Development Update. We have made some adjustments to the Korobela item: - Using a Korobela on a game-generated NCL now has a 5% chance to pick a lioness from the chased pool for you to claim. - Using a Korobela on a chased lioness will always pick another chased NCL for you to claim from the chased pool. If there are no chased lionesses in the pool to grab, you will be notified, and the item will be returned to your inventory. - When using Korobela on a chased lioness, the lioness you previously encountered will be reinserted into the chased pool to be found again later, anywhere from 12-48 hours later (which is the same timeframe for how long it takes a player-chased lioness to potentially make it into the pool). It is possible to come across the same chased lioness you used a Korobela on previously, but the mechanic still exists that prevents the player who chased the lioness from encountering her. We also acknowledge that we introduced the Savage Stud change too abruptly. We saw many players disappointed with Bandit and Scoundrel being excluded this year, and we worked fast to implement a change to stud counts before the tier unlocked. The amount of future studs will only grow year by year, but we don't want to remove bases every year to rotate them. This year, we will create 12 or 14 studs, and keep the original rotating mechanic so that you get a chance to breed with the first few studs again. As of writing this news post, 5 studs have already been made available. Depending on the total number created, either all studs should be able to cycle through a second time and be bred to again (if we made 12), or the first 10 studs will cycle through a second time and be bred to again, and the last 4 would only be available one time only (if we made 14). We have been reading the feedback presented and will keep this in mind to think on future solutions. We've seen the ideas presented about implementing a group of studs to switch out each day, along with others that have been posted, but we cannot say for certain yet what mechanic we will implement. Thank you all for your feedback and patience! 302 players like this post! Like? |

For the Korobela Item, can you make it so it doesn't apply to the chased RL system if you implement it? That could be super unfair! 5 players like this post! Like? |

Gonna be honest, the event studs thing feels like a โyou canโt please everyoneโ situation. Just a few days ago people were up in arms about how devastating releasing RLCs would be to the market but now having completely new event studs instead of reusing the old ones is a problem? I personally was having a great time seeing the new designs. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

@reallylongsnake those things arent comparable. The studs arent nearly as valuable or sought after as Raffle lionesses, which go for hundreds of GB just for a clone. And it's not about the designs, it's about them being crazy expensive and having a new one every day just doesn't work and doesn't give people time to consider. Also dont think anyone is upset with reusing. 10 players like this post! Like? |

Would it be possible to add the marking Tiers to the Savage Stud's page or Wiki? It's lovely to just see the designs unencumbered by the complicated Tier system on site, so i'm not sure I want to make a suggestion to change the on site Savage Stud pages in the Game Development forum or anything (if it doesn't already exist), but I feel like they should at least be listed on the Wiki after the day they're introduced to make a general impression of how many BO markings are included on each stud? We can't import a stud to Wardrobe directly because they exist outside the Lion ID System so we don't really have that workaround to see the BO traits unless we re-build them ourselves, and it seems like the studs' pages weren't updated when we got Tiers added to all other lion pages. Part of the fun of seeing a new stud for some players might be looking up each trait one by one & seeing how it might work into their projects, but once it's up there I feel like it should be open knowledge at a glance. (Just looking at the Raffle Lioness Stud vs. Savage Stud discussion- a major difference is the amount of Breed-Only traits that could potentially be released on a Raffle Lioness stud, depending on how they're implemented [with their only BO being shared with the current Raffle Lioness, or full BO replicas and anywhere in between]; while Savage do have their markings & some BO, they're not full 15/15 more often than not... I wasn't able to quickly make that point because while I did open up a forum notification to see what's up during my click-through- i'm not about to do a BO count on each savage stud of all Man-Eater designs in years < 2024 thus far xD ) Edit: I sent Feedback to the Wiki Team, through the Wiki's little contact suggestion thing- thank you for considering! Might unsubscribe here so I don't get the notif & try to stay on top of things 'somehow' - but thank you for the implementations & for reading through and acting upon suggestions. 5 players like this post! Korobela's item description reads "Use this item when claiming to reroll an NCL. A new NCL will be created. This will not reroll an NCL into a chased NCL. This can only be done once per claim, and only before moves are made. This cannot be used when claiming Wenet or her cousins. 432 in the game" So it's already limited to 1 ncl re-roll per 'claim' page. We won't be able to sit there spamming until a beauty come through, but it does... double your Chased encounter rate (though you have to pass on the first & then decide whether to pick the second)? So it sorta pairs with Catnip to give you.. sorta double.. whatever your Chased encounter rate would have been? Maybe, from one angle? That last bit may be a bit of a stretch, as you can only bring home max 1 of the 2 Chased if you re-roll the first so it may sort of double how many you can see but not your take-home Chased, but just for anyone trying to extrapolate a use Still concerned about the effects mentioned a page or so back, but at least this part has been answered. 0 players like this post!
