Ever since I found out about inbreeding in lioden, I wondered what the point in being told the lion is inbred even is if there's no effect in-game. In my opinion it just makes people super picky for no reason at all and it's a pretty useless piece of info if there is no in-game effect π€·ββοΈ I think it would be cool if inbred lions did have some kind of different to purebred ones! Like, maybe an increased chance for lethal mutations in cubs depending on how bad the inbreeding is, or a chance for these lions to become sick and die earlier. Something like that would be really interesting to see I think πΊ |

I like the idea, as now it has become some negative aspect of the game. Having it more neutral and even in some sort of 'positive' for certain cases. Sounds super fun tbh haha. Edit: not = now 1 player likes this post! Like? Edited on 24/08/24 @ 04:08:51 by Doed (#32367) |

In my opinion this suggestion makes sense, it could even give a higher chance for mutations that usually come from crbs, ex. overgrown teeth/claws or clawless. Having inbreeding with no effect makes the game easier if anything, as some players repeatedly inbreed their lions in order to get their dream king/lion 1 player likes this post! Like? |

If I remember correctly, this kind of suggestion has popped out few times in the past years and has always been shot down from devs. And no, I don't support this like I have never done, inbred or clean, it should stay neutral game effect wise. I breed only clean lions, yes, some part for selling, but mostly for my own preference I have had since 2016. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

The admins have rejected this idea because they dont want inbreeding to have neither downsides nor upsides, so its not punished nor endorised by the game. Its been that way far too long, and will affect too many people if inbreeding effects are added now. If inbreeding gets positive effects added, then people will purposedly inbreed to get those, and make it harder for people wanting non-inbred lions to get clean lions. Thus, hurting clean breeders. If inbreeding gets negative effects added, then people who didnt care about the inbreeding before will be punished by those effects because they already have inbreeding in their lines! Thus, hurting breeders not caring for clean breeding. Whatever is added, one group of players will get hurt by that. Its best to keep it neutral and not affecting gameplay so neither of the groups is hurt. 3 players like this post! Like? |

This suggestion has been rejected by Xylax and other devs several times over the years, and is on his rejection thread im pretty sure. it will not be considered as a suggestion 1 player likes this post! Like? |

That all makes sense and I get it, but I still don't see the point in telling you that the lion is inbred if there's no effect at all personally π€·ββοΈπ€·ββοΈ 0 players like this post! Like? |

It's just a QOL feature. People have cared the same about inbreeding before and after it was introduced. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

People have cared about inbreeding and clean lions for most likely the whole time this game has existed, so 11 years. I have at least cared since 2016. The note on heritage came out years after that to help the ones who wanted it, you don't need to be clean breeder if you don't want to. For us clean breeders it makes ie. buying lions with longer heritages from TC easier 1 player likes this post! Like? |

as the other users have said, it was a quality of life/convenience update because it means people don't have to note down every lion in a heritage themselves and see if it's clean/dirty. it saves time and isn't at all useless as it helps to verify whether a lion is in fact dirty or clean; again, without spending what could be hours doing so and wasting resources doing so. 2 players like this post!
