Xiao, I mean no offense by this but realistically you haven't experienced what we as older users have experienced. The rates have been nerfed and it isn't just down to rng, rng wouldn't make a noticeable different when it comes to encountering zero event stuff, and when it come to mostly encountering horse encounters that give absolutely fuck all.
Yes, irs been a day but the first day is always the easiest and when people use the majority of their items - they have every right to complain, and you have zero right to be mad at them for it when they have years more expericne than you do, and know the events inside and out.

Typing this on my phone, there are spelling mistakes I might correct later, but probably not. I mean this in a respectful way and not to badger at you, but you need to be more considerate as it is a site wide issue with a ton of topics popping up in the first 13 hours. To go from 300jb to only 40 is absolutely ridiculous and is not rng.

I do agree, it feels very empty so far even as a casual player. So far the encounters I have are the horses, critters that will get locusts for you and the prophet lion. They don't give you much, right now I only have 15 JB since the event started. It gets tiring when you have to wait for your energy to go up for a while and you don't get anything from the event. Maybe it's because it's the beginning of the event and things just take a while to kick in, but I'm not so sure, I haven't played the game for a while I've just gotten back to it a week ago...

It’s not even the fact that xiao hasn’t been around for the last event it’s the fact that below this is someone’s personal JB counter and they got 166 on the first day Last year. Now I didn’t play last year but I ended up with 66 at the end of yesterday

I saw something about them lowering prices in the September shops so they lowered encounter rates but I’m not sure if that’s true. Sorry if I came across as an asshole, didn’t mean to. Hope y’all have a nice day

The trouble comes with when you lower prices, and then lower the encounter rate, it contradicts itself and you’re left basically in the same state you’re in the year before. Shop isn’t open yet to see the prices but if the main items are left the same price as last year (and I have a feeling they will be) then we’ll just be worse off.

You can view prices on wiki but they have a tendency not to update until shop opens or the end of the event so I’m not sure how accurate those are

the easiest thing they could have done is just increase the encounter rate, or lower the shop prices. lowering them both, or increasing them both does fuck all and is a poor decision if they have done that.

I saw the bar being adjusted but they typically don't lower the breeding items' event cost years after being implemented, perhaps it was to the new decor and such?
In Eldritch Tokens/ Harbinger's shop, not JB cost for example the set price of Gnaws 150 JB / GMO 100 JB ?

My exp: I usually can bring in 4 Gnaws* per dedicated grind day with Roasted Lamb/Red Bulls (2 each per main/side = 300 JB each / 600 JB Total) with occasional Gorilla enclave and no other big energy boosts *I don't manage to do this every day for obvious reasons and usually coast around 2-3 but on a grind day that's the haul.*
I was hoping to front-load my event earnings a bit so that my grind days are just making up for missed ones because I won't be able to do any grind for the bulk of the month (was expecting maybe 1-2 Gnaws on those rollovers) but i'm not getting the numbers I should be.
I had peeked in chat earlier to see that Abbey said they didn't adjust encounter rates as far as she could tell, but it certainly feels/seems that way.


Yesterday I used 2 Roasted Lambs on both my main & side, for a total of 16 hours of doubled natural energy regen, so a Super! grind day (I only missed 1x 20% energy check-in), and used my saved up level ups, and only brought in 2 gnaws' worth (300 JB).

I usually try not to pay much attention to numbers until after I can start doing my daily Harbinger quests (he unlocks on the 3rd & then we get dailies sometime after that) but this month I 'need to' due to real life overlap & my preferred playstyle when active .

If it stays this bad I might have to hiatus/not roll, hopefully things start picking up soon.





(I was breeding as well same as my usual mass breeding for the month and I keep a steady constant pride so that's not/shouldn't have crashed my JB earnings (at all).)

It’s a shame tbh was looking forward to playing this event. This year just doesn’t seem like a good year for the game as a whole. The only take away from the year was February and the jag boosts but the majority of people voted that was too hard in the polls so. Lack of communication and drama and the rl situation is just bogging the game down with who I’ve talked to and this event sure isn’t helping rn

Hopefully things will balance out, soon- my old rates were with the low luck & lucky bars averaging out JB over the day, so definitely feeling like either i'm paying attention way earlier in the month than normal or something's a bit strange.

I wish I'd kept track of exactly how much I earned per bar and such but I used 14 energy bars from leveling up my kings + roasted lambs yesterday and didn't even break 300 jb. Usually I can make 500+ easy on the first day so this year is dog shit 100% and idc about anyone saying it's impatience lol

Do you mind if I ask if you used 2 Roasted Lambs (16 hours' doubled energy each) or 1 per (8 hours of doubled energy each for main & side)?

The energy bars likely helped our rates look more similar,
since i'm at 252/202 JB (Total: 454 JB) on day 2 after 2 days of 2 Roasted Lambs/day each & some level-ups
so i'm barely above 400 on near-end of day 2 as well ^^'



Edit: I have 4 hours' energy gains left of my Roasted Lambs for today ( a second day's 16 hrs ) but yeeeah not great either way.
