Is anyone else sick of these "1sb to [expensive thing]" trades clogging up the TC? I've blocked so many people doing it and I feel like it shouldn't be allowed. These are almost always from the 300k - 400k plus crowd, though I've definitely caught 200ks and even 5-Digit ID players doing it too. It's annoying and emblematic of the issue wracking newer accounts and LD in general: they don't want to build.

Lioden is a game about patience and investing time, energy, and sometimes IRL money in order to reach some sort of goal, even if that goal is something as simple as "I want pretty lions to dress up". You have to acquire the pretty lions. You have to acquire the decor to dress them up. People are not just going to give you these things in most cases.

Yet that's essentially what these trades are. Users offer 1sb or something of next to no value and explicitly ask for something equal or, preferably, better in value. To put that into perspective, it's like offering 1 penny and hoping for a nickel, then getting the nickle hoping for a dime. It's rather hilariousy audacious to knowingly under offer. Back in the day, lowballing was something you actively did (and often got blocked for) rather than wait around for someone to take a bad trade, but many newer players can't even be arsed to do that.

It isn't technically against the rules, but come on. There isn't a ton of difference between begging for stuff in mainchat and trading 1sb or an aloe leaf or something that wont even sell at Monkey Business and explicitly asking for something of more value. They call it a "challenge" but that's just a cloak for what it really is: begging with extra steps.
