Does anyone else get a little annoyed when you take your first few steps off of a full energy bar, and then at 96% energy you get the encounter that gives your king +15%? Because I do! Especially when the game does it to me more than 10 times in the last few days! Thank you for the scraps of energy I guess, but I would prefer the infinitesimally slightly higher chance of an event encounter instead, perhaps Logically, I think it wouldn't make any sense for such a well rested lad to wake up fully refreshed, take a couple steps, and then lay down for a nap. ??? Bro, if you are going to sleep on the job AT LEAST make it worthwhile and get the whole 15! So, to preserve my own sanity, I'd like if the +15% energy encounter was only able to show up if the player has 85% energy or less. Could also include the +4% one but I don't feel as bad when I get that one at 100% energy lmao Edit to add: I am aware this would be an overall lowered amount of energy if it was just purely restricted from appearing from 15% of your energy bar, so perhaps they could alter the rate of getting the encounter ever so slightly, so that you'd still be able to get it roughly the same amount of times between 0-85% energy as you would have between 0-100%. For example, let's say there's a 1% chance of getting the encounter. If it were increased to 1.15% (a 15% increase to compensate for the 15% energy between 85 and 100) it should theoretically be roughly the same before and after. Even slightly better for people who explore mostly below 85% energy anyway. ---------------- My other suggestions: Masterpost here |

That's all fair, and you are definitely correct! Truly, I have no defense other than it annoys me Removing the encounter from appearing between 86-99 energy without making any adjustments to the encounter rate at all would absolutely be a loss. I had mentioned in comments altering the rate in addition to restricting it to 85 or less energy to even it out, though I hadn't gotten around to adding any of that to the main post. I don't know the exact numbers that would be changed, but the hope would be that the actual energy gained would be largely the same as current - just less irritating for some players like me C: Dumb analogy below I know that it's free energy and I am at least grateful to get it when I can, but eating small nibbles of a much larger cookie only leaves me longing for the rest of the cookie! And to do it over and over again, it's madness! 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 22/09/24 @ 15:28:44 by Terrinthia [G1] (#97101) |

Ok yes I 100% see this! In which case I think it’s just differences in preferences as I happen to feel kind of the opposite; neither view is wrong, just different! This is how i feel about the suggestion; the suggestion would have the free dinner now be in a restaurant and you’re outside. You are only allowed to go in and enjoy the free dinner if you haven’t eaten in a certain amount of time; this means I’m not allowed to enter at all since I just ate at home. This rule extends to everybody on site as well. But me, I love food as anybody irl can attest so naturally I’m very sad. even if I find myself at the free fancy banquet on a mostly full stomach, I’m more than happy to sample small things here and there, taste what I can, then leave the rest of the food untouched; as I satisfied my curiosity in getting to at least try new things even if I miss out on the full meal because I already ate Tl/Dr: basically you are asking the restaurant to bar anybody whose recently eaten from entering because some may feel they're missing out as they didn't get to experience a full meal at the dinner; even though just as many people would still have been happy to take just the smaller portions even if they arent a full meal 2 players like this post! No support. any energy is energy. this would also reduce the chance RNG rolls this encounter. and just to fix 100 peoples 'anger' out of hundreds of thousands is not a justifiable reason. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Small RNG chance increase to compensate should fix that I assume? I edited my post with my math, though I'm happy to be corrected on that if I'm thinking incorrectly. 0 players like this post! Like? |
