What do you mean that decors and backgrounds aren't refunded back to your account? They lose a use, but they will be returned to your hoard if they have uses remaining.

I support not losing decorations when running, though. I get why they want this aspect to feel punishing, but sometimes it just feels a little too much. My lions ran recently because the site was down when I was trying to feed them, and I just had to give up and go to bed since I had work in the morning. That's a little bit different than just pure neglect, but shit happens, and it can negatively impact how someone views and plays the game. You can argue that you shouldn't forget, shouldn't play if you're busy, etc etc., but I think this subject can do with a little compassion. I used to be a hardass but after starving everyone after gruelling days at work and coming home and becoming instantly comatose, I get it, lol.

Lorewise, it probably makes sense that they lose their decor, but... whatever lol. I wouldn't be mad if they changed this.
