Name(and meaning): Askari (meaning sentry)
Role: sentry and eventual brood mother
Personality: Askari is a very proud member of her pride, willing to lay down her life if it means defending her king/cubs. Though she’s rather indifferent towards her fellow lionesses she treats all with respect until given reason not to. In dire times she isn’t afraid to speak up or to question her leaders judgement, however she knows when to keep her mouth shut for the greater good.
Likes & Dislikes: Zebra is her favourite meal, she enjoys sunbathing and engaging with the cubs. She’s hostile to outsiders and weary about newcomers, her trust needs to be built.
Description: Askari is a rather lithe lioness, with a broad chest and a speckled golden brown coat. Her eyes are amber that glint orange when the sun catches just right. She’s agile and quick witted, knowing her footing especially in combat. She bares a torn ear from a fight with a rogue lioness in which she parades around confidently.
Background: as a cub Askari wandered too far off her territory, accidentally stumbling into unknown lands. She survived off of dew and herbs before finally teacher herself how to hunt. She was nearly a year old before she finally made her first appearance in the pride, offering a fresh antelope carcass in return for protection and affiliation.
