What's the only thing NCLs are missing in terms of unique traits? A mane shape. Here's my proposition, heavily inspired by cave lions. I've chosen to make it a short mane shape both because tsavo is very lonely in that category and off the assumption that a lot of roaming males in the wild would be scruffy youngsters.

This mane shape would be BO, found only on NCLs in explore year-round.

If I remember correctly, I used Shedua for this demo!


This is moreso in my art style than Lioden's, but I had a go at what Steppe might look like on spirited pose as well. Base art is of course Xylax's preview of the pose with my mane doodle on top.
