Pickle Roe on Beetle Births

What's the issue? Please include any error messages you receive and as much detail as possible.
I have two of the new fiddler crab beetles that I bred today and I went to use the pickled roe on them both, but it's saying 'This beetle is not pregnant'. But they were successfully bred.
