The November event launches on November 1st at 00:00am LDT, and will end on November 30th at 11:59pm LDT. All unused event currency will be stored on your account until next year. November Event - Whispering AncestorsThis month, a group of nomadic lion shamans have arrived from faraway lands to offer their services. Humans aren't the only ones that believe ancestors are linked spiritually to the living. Some lions believe that, during a trance, they can speak to the spirits of those who have passed into the afterlife. You can gain Piety for the ancestors by doing deeds for the lion shamans. In return, you will be granted spiritual rewards. Your Piety might unlock something special, so make sure to respect the spirits, and they will provide. Alongside this, you can gather many herbs in Explore for crafting, nesting, quests, and for your battle beetles! Visit the ShamansOn the EVENT page, you can pay a visit to three different lion shamans. Each shaman is a bit different and will provide unique daily quests for you. You can fulfill up to 3 deeds per day for them, and in return, you can gain Piety - between 6 to 9 Piety per day at maximum. The ancestors of lions who have passed will reward the lions who live and show piousness. You can exchange these Piety points for body and mind enhancements. We believe the rewards will make all players happy, no matter what part of their lion's body they strive to improve.
Fossil CraftingIn Explore, you will find many fossil items! They can only be used for crafting in November. Here's a selection of new content this month!  This year, you can craft a Homotherium Marks applicator in the Crafting area! It will require 20x Ammonite Fossil and 30x Ancient Fossil in Monkey Business. You can apply the following markings from this applicator: * Ammonite Homotherium * Cretaceous Homotherium * Ebony Homotherium * Fossil Homotherium * Goridhe Homotherium * Nautilus Homotherium * Noctis Homotherium
Thanks to some new research, we have decided to add a new, refreshed Kryptops decor and call it [Modern]. We plan to do the same with the Spinosaurus decor, as it has very outdated looks due to being drawn a decade ago. We will expand more on crafting within the Development Update on November 8th!
This feature is accessible via Monkey Business's Crafting section. It unlocks when the Piety bar reaches Tier 1. You can craft multiple fossils, some of multiple types, into decors and applicators.
Gem CraftingThe gems to be crafted for this month are Gem: Carnelian, Gem: Fire Opal, Gem: Moss Agate, Gem: Nuummite, Gem: Rough Opal, Gem: Sparkling Opal, Gem: Bloodstone and Gem: Cat's Eye. There are no new recipes added in this year for gem crafting! This feature is accessible via Monkey Business's Crafting area! It unlocks when the Piety bar reaches Tier 2.
Visit the Shaman Shop!In the Shaman Shop, you can exchange Scarab Beetles (abbreviated as ScB) for some fancy items. The more tiers you unlock through event bars, the more fun stuff will appear within the shops! Piety BarThe Piety bar counts the total Piety gained throughout Lioden's lands. It unlocks tiers that provide lions with some awesome stuff from the Shaman Shop and the Shaman Pit. Note: markings added via Piety will be applied in the first free slot available, so plan your designs carefully! This feature has been updated to contain all event NCL markings from this year! New in 2024  Progenitor base. Its genetics are Red Medium Countershaded Special, and it is tied to Marbled skin. Thank you, cuttlekiss [hiatus] (#156234), for your suggestion!

Incorporeal is a new shop applicator base. Its genetics are Black Medium Solid Special, and it is tied to Black skin. Thank you, Blacksmith🔥 (#273615), for your suggestion!You will also find a matching mane colour applicator in the Shaman Pit! Shaman PitThis mysterious pit is being prepared by the shamans. The more piety that lions show, the stronger the ritual's effect will become! ExploreWithin Explore, you might notice herbs that you can collect, or encounters you can interact with. Some of these are specific for quests, but won't do much if you're not on that particular quest. If you're not on any quest and you meet a Tsavo lion, nothing besides a battle will occur. However, if you're on a quest to defeat a Tsavo lion and you win, the quest will be fulfilled, and you can return to the shamans to complete your deed!
You might notice you can once again turn your carcasses into Rawhide. Rawhide is required for some Shaman Quests. It can also be used for crafting within the Monkey Business's Crafting area!
Remember that the website (and the admins, if needed) will run a mass Rabies removal once November begins. If it needs some extra attention, please give our coders a few hours to wake up as we're in a different timezone than Lioden's server!  138 players like this post! Like? |

I had an awesome October, but then it's releases like this one that make me go '...What?' I like the Homotherium marking app. And the Incorporeal base, even if it's an app. I don't get Progenitor being tied to piety when we already had a new marking app and piety's precious as it is. Especially since those event adjustment suggestions about making a piety a transferable currency between two accounts, letting you switch a shaman quest for ScB, or choosing the slot for piety markings for more piety (each with 100s of supports) are going unanswered... again. Let me say I like the app bases. I use the app bases. My self-imposed challenge for this game is retiring every base/mutation in the game my main pride dynasty. But there's an overload of them already, and releases like this don't help :/ Just for BO bases and combos, there remains a HUGE imbalance. Especially for poor Cream. Cream Light Countershaded just got Aether last month, and has no non-combo BO special base. Same for Cream Dark Solid. Even slightly more popular colors like Red Medium Solid and friggin' Black Light Solid don't. Cream Light solid doesn't have any BO bases at all! I use my app bases on high BO girls to increase the chances of getting their marks onto a BO base. But what's the point of wasting apps if there's no good bases to breed them to? The Plague and Aether/Nether combos were great additions that encouraged people to use apps for special BO bases. Given how cheap and common bases like Ammonite and Nautilus are, this is a GREAT month to introduce another combo base for one of the Cream slots. Like, the lack of new common/uncommon bases to really make those special bases 'special' is a big problem. Or how to phase in new BO marks/bases outside of an extremely slow and frustrating trickle down lottery (not counting the July raffle girls/August studs.) But... if there's gonna be multiple new bases every month, maybe at least make one BO? At least until every color family has at least one BO/one combo base. 4 players like this post! Like? |

@Romana: I honestly think both of the new bases are cute (although incorporeal doesn't seem to fit Lioden's base style imo), and I also use applicator bases myself (it's usually cheaper to change my lionesses' bases to a special base rather than an uncommon for the higher chance of a special base because there are so many worthless base apps that are cheaper than 5 GB (the cost of a base changer)), but I don't think they should keep pumping out special applicable bases. Either one of these bases could have easily passed for an uncommon or rare; both of which are SEVERELY lacking, being that there are a grand total of ***15*** uncommon bases and 49 rare bases... Literally one third of all bases in existence are applicable special bases; how is that NOT a problem that the staff acknowledge and are willing to do something about? There are six different "types" of bases (common, uncommon, rare, applicator special, BO special, and combo) and applicator special completely dwarves every other type of base. It is honestly getting ridiculous at this point. They just made two applicable new bases out of hundreds that will just be worth 1-2 GB in the long run :/ which would be fine... if the genetics pools literally weren't DROWNING in special applicable bases as it is. @Casey Yeah, I like both Progenitor and Incorporeal fine, but like when I saw two pictures of bases being introduced, I got my hopes up one would be BO... and then I read how they're both just apps :/ Rare bases like Snowpard/Desolate (and even some Uncommon bases like Rhubarb) show that even the less 'special' bases don't need to be plain monotone blobs and can have some flare to them. There can be color and variety, and a lot of the bases I see in the suggestion thread would work great for uncommon/rare bases. I dunno. I just feel... discouraged with how grindy this month's shaman's quests are already turning out to be to get my heirs up to snuff, and then two base apps dropped when devs have already said they'd be cutting back. Honestly, the last two months of Lioden have been a rollercoaster. After September's... eh bumpy rollout of the Treasure Hunt, it was low. Then October gave us great bang for our buck, you know? Good decor, good apps, some pretty new BO combos, actually having FUN when doing all the fighting/grinding for those beetles instead of over wasting eight hours for one stupid encounter. I don't think November is anyone's most exciting event but... Black Friday's this month. I actually splurged last year to get the big pack because October 2023 was awesome enough to redeem a pretty meh September. Right now I don't know how I feel about how the last few months of 2024 are gonna go :/ Like... I get holding off on a ton of new BO mane styles and colors and bases until after the Spirited pose/the new site rollout finally drop... but the feature creep that just gets creeping on, doesn't it? 3 players like this post!
