I've been thinking about it for a while, and I feel like it would be neat to have an Opal Saltlick-esque item added that isn't quite as limiting. What I mean by that is, when breeding one lion to another, the use of an Opal Saltlick guarantees one parent's eye color to pass in the litter. But have you ever bred, say, Faience x Celadon together without a strong preference of which one passes? Or perhaps two new eye colors such as Phase x Aegean? I've certainly spent quite a bit of time in some instances mulling it over, because either one would be great and I just can't decide! I'd rather leave it up to fate in some instances, but I just can't risk some fail color like Blue or Earth popping up and tanking the value of an otherwise potentially great cub. I haven't come up with a name yet, but perhaps something along the lines of Crystalline Fragments? Open to other ideas. (please-) This item would be applicable to either parent, or both if desired, and would guarantee that their eye color itself would pass if RNG rolled it (assuming a 50% chance for each parent to roll theirs), removing individual eye color fails for that breeding. For example, you could breed a Terracotta NCL with the item applied to guarantee that if the mother's eye genetics would pass, it would be Terracotta, to a stud with Dove eyes and no item applied to have a chance at Rose Ebony or Rose Quartz fails if the father's eye genetics were to pass. In terms of price, I was thinking 150-200 SB per item, making it slightly cheaper than using an Opal Saltlick. As such, another potential use would be functionally the same as an Opal Saltlick in certain scenarios: when breeding the same eye colors together such as Cosmic x Cosmic or Dawn x Dawn, saving a bit of money. I have a TON of fail lions all with the same eye color for my project, and it hurts me to have to spend 500 SB every time. I'd like to get a bit of savings where I can, especially after having spent thousands of SB already :') Alternatively, it could be introduced as a single item that applies to the whole litter (applied to father or something, like a Buffalo Scrotum or Great Tit are stud items but their effect is added to the litter) which merely removes all eye fails from both parents in the breeding. This would unfortunately remove niche uses such as hoping for potential eye fails from one of the parents if desired, but applying one item would be easier than applying two individually. As one item, it would cost 300-400 SB. Please let me know if you have any comments, criticism, or additional ideas! Especially names LOL ---------------- My other suggestions: Masterpost here |

So you want an item that gets rid of the chances for an eye fail? That also gives the lions a 50% chance to have either the male or females eye colour? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Replying from side account x) Hanji - Essentially, yes, if I'm understanding how eye breeding mechanics work currently! 1 player likes this post! Like? |
