Aside from monthly event news posts and the 2nd Friday of each month being focused on art/coding updates, all other Fridays are centered around the community!

500,000 Members!

Last night, Lioden hit 500,000 total members—an incredible milestone! Thank you all for sticking with us throughout the years. We hope you all will continue to play Lioden for many years to come. Let's aim for 1,000,000 now!

In celebration of this event, we're hosting a couple additional raffles!

Small Quality of Life Updates

* Added the ability to temporarily hide December Gifting - if you have a particularly large hoard, this could be useful for navigating player dens.
* Added lion names to Lion page titles for easier tab browsing.
* Added king names to Den page titles for easier tab browsing.

Art Bug Fixes

* Aquamarine eyes were missing a pupil on Teen Tigon
* Multiple decors such as Shaman King Headwear were missing for the Normal mane shape due to a typo
* Neutron eyes were missing eye shine on Adult Tigon
* Omen markings were missing for mutations
* The Mbielu-Mbielu-Mbielu decor was missing for Evil pose
* The Shadhaver decor was missing for Adult Male
* The Third Eye [Blue], [Crimson], and [Yellow] decors were mismatched for Pariah/Sideward
* The Third Eye [Green] decor had clipping fixed for Teen Male
* The Third Eye [Yellow] decor had a smudge
* Welsummer skin on Adult Ennedi Vossoko had the wrong hue

Heads Up: Lineart Thickness

Please do not report Jaglion or Primal (Ennedi Vossoko) lineart as being too thick; if anything, we will be thickening some of the linearts for the stages of older existing lions and mutations. Thickening the lineart should not affect decors, but it will make the lineart a bit more noticeable. This was a deliberate choice, and it's here to stay.

There have been many, many reports about pixels bleeding outside of lion linearts, especially on lion manes, female poses, and cubs. This happens when HTML layers a lot of .png files—it's unavoidable. Our art style is less stylised than most sim games, and we also allow a lot of marking slots on all lions. This turned out to be a small problem for a web game like this.

As Lioden grows, there is more nuance to old lineart vs darker and darker backgrounds or decors, more variety in bases and markings, and these issues become more visible.

After the Spirited pose is out, we will be cleaning up a few linearts on older lions, which will be polled to the community. The clean up is planned to be similar to the retouch done on Dwarfism lineart (viewed here). All of these updates will include a stronger outline.

Updated Primal Size Chart

With the new Primal (Ennedi Vossoko) mutation, the previous Primal size chart was a bit outdated. We've updated it to include Ennedi Vossoko in relation to other Primals!
