Community Update

Aside from monthly event news posts and the 2nd Friday of each month being focused on art/coding updates, all other Fridays are centered around the community!

Official Lioden Raffle

Equip to Impress Updates

* Made the page prettier and a bit more readable, added a gradient effect to the current theme, and gave some styling to the pagination.

* Before voting starts, entries are now sorted into groups - a flexible amount based on the number of entries. It tries to make sure there's a minimum of 10 entries in a group before adding another one, and it will top out at 15 groups. It will split the entries as evenly as possible.
— Some examples:
9 entries - 1 group
18 entries - 1 group
23 entries - 2 groups, 11 in one, 12 in the other
45 entries - 3 groups, 15 in each
100 entries - 5 groups, 20 in each
250 entries - 13 groups, 16 in most, 17 in one
400 entries - 15 groups, 26 in most, 27 in one

* Each group should have its own 1st, 2nd and 3rd placing. Contestants only need to vote on the entries within their group.

* Voting is not available until a group is assigned.

* When voting, entries should be anonymous.

* When voting is over, winners for each group within a contest are displayed by navigating a set of tabs.

* A button to import a design straight from the Lion Wardrobe is now in place. It will automatically fill the link into the text box - you still need to hit the "Enter Contest" or "Update Entry" button to submit it.

Note: We are aware of some issues with images and with the contest entries breaking - things like manes disappearing, poses not saving on the lion, and some mutations won't load properly. We have noted these down but due to the holidays these may take a while to fix. For now, we recommend just using female default pose, adolescents, and cubs.

Miscellaneous Updates

* There is now a banner that warns when you have unnested pregnant lionesses the day before they are due to give birth. Thank you, Enjolras (#189510)!

Spirited Pose Information

As Lioden has over 4000 decors drawn over 12 years, and some of the artists of these decors are no longer on our team, we will be catching up with dynamic¹ decors for months to come. These are extra challenging as they need to be adapted to different mane shapes. We're launching Spirited with as many decors as we could prepare to this point—over 2380 decors have been converted to the new pose.

¹ Dynamic in this context means it is a decor fit to the body, such as body jewelry, body wraps, crowns, masks, etc.

If you come across missing static² decors, you can report them to the Art Bugs. These should all be ready, and if any are missing, it is a mistake.

² Static in this context means it is a non-body decor that looks the same on all stages and poses, such as animals, environment pieces, insects, plants, etc.

We have just hired one more decor artist to help with event content workloads, while our older artists work on drawing the Spirited versions of their decor designs.

We also have a total of 5 people working on lion files as of November 2024, and they trained on Ennedi and Spirited. Hopefully they'll now help with Jaglion's missing files. This is wonderful news for future mutations!

Spirited is still scheduled for a Christmas release (25th). It will be available within the Oasis, priced at 2 GB! We hope you're as excited to see it as we are to release it!

Bug Fix

* Fixed a display issue with Pearl Earrings [White] costing 7 Glam Garnets instead of 4
* The Playful Rolling Hyena decor can now be found within the Wallowing Pit
