So I have a habit of getting just as attached to my beetles as I am to my lions, and it's getting to a point where I'm considering spending WAY too much SB buying beetles identical to the ones I've lost. This might just be a me problem (the "replacing my dead beetles with clones to cope" part definitely is) but let's imagine it's not- in that case, wouldn't an item to make beetles immortal, de-age them, or just keep them around after death be cool?
The item could work like this:
Once a beetle turns 11 days old, you can use the item to make them immortal. Considering the nature of beetles, it would be unrealistic for the item to only work on beetles who have not battled, so it could have other limitations instead- maybe it can't be used on beetles who have fought a certain number of battles or are 30 days old and about to die. The item could be purchased either at the oasis or gorilla enclave, and would realistically cost a lot, but not as much as other immortality items, since we're talking beetles and not lions. An immortal beetle could stay in it's mound and keep all its attributes, but you would no longer be able to breed it or have it participate in battles, just like how immortal lions cannot hunt, patrol, or breed.
