Golden Rose Institute

Ivy tosses and turns all night. Then, suddenly there is a loud banging on her door. She wakes up, panicked. Breathing heavy, she gets out of bed and walks over to her door and cracks it open.

"Yes?" Ivy says to her mother who is standing outside. Alongside her is Miller.

"Miller needs a place to stay for the night. And we need to talk." Dr. Blackwood stares at her daughter, "Can we come in?"

"Sure," Ivy says, forgetting about the mess.

Miller and Dr. Blackwood enter. "What happened in here?" Miller asks, looking around the room.

"A friend had his cat over," Ivy shrugs. At least she was good at lying.

"Uh...huh..." Dr. Blackwood nods. "Ivy get the mattress for Miller."

Ivy stares at her mom for a moment then grabs out a mattress from her closet, putting it on the ground near her bed.

"Where were you tonight?" Dr. Blackwood questions Ivy.

"Me and Roy-" Ivy starts.

"Roy and I." Dr. Blackwood corrects.

"Roy and I got caught up in the art studio, painting," Ivy lies, adding some aditude to the beginning of her sentance.

"Huh," Dr. Blackwood says. "Well next time stop by my house to apologize. And I don't like you dating that boy. He seems like he is more worried about you than his academics. You've already gotten one boy kicked out because of dating. Don't ruin another boy." She pauses for a bit. "Make Miller comfortable. And don't do anything I would not approve of."

"Yes Mother," Ivy nods. "Good night."

"Good night dear, and don't sleep in your running clothes, you'll ruin your sheets," Dr. Blackwood says. Ivy nods. "Also, before I forget. I've reassigned you to have the same dorm as Roy. If you both must date than you should live with him to see who he really is."

"Oh." Ivy says, panicked. "Th....thank you."

After Dr. Blackwood leaves Ivy cleans up her dorm while Miller goes to sleep. After a while Ivy changes into pajamas and lays down. She tries to go to sleep but she can't stop thinking about Roy. In his car to sleep.

She gets up and puts on some running shoes. She starts her walk to the parking lot.

She eventually reaches the parking lot, "oh... uh... hey Frankie." Ivy stutters.

Francesca blinked. "Uh.. hi." She greeted her in a hushed tone, slightly annoyed that Ivy had come over. "What are you doing out this late?"

"I was worried about Roy but I... uh... see you have that handeled. I suppose I should be going then," Ivy says, her voice short and snippy.

"No, you can stay." Frankie mumbled, crossing her arms and focusing her gaze on the ground. She didn't really want to be stuck in whatever the hell was going on between Roy and Ivy, but it seemed it was a little too late to escape that now.

Ivy stands there. "Look, I... I don't know what is going on with you Frankie but I genuinely like you and want to be friends." Ivy fidgets with her necklace.

Francesca perked up a little at what Ivy said, but continued to have her head facing anywhere but her. "Oh.. uhm.. y-yeah, me too." Francesca responded in a hushed tone, not seeming very certain about her answer. Feeling a tad awkward, she rubbed the nape of her neck with a hand, with the other still being wrapped around her waist.

"Hey look, I don't know what Roy told you, but it really shouldn't come between us," Ivy says. She shivers some because she is in a tank top and shorts. Her tank top shows her scar on her left arm which trails from her shoulder to her wrist. She moves her arm behind her, trying to hide the scar.

Even if it was prohibited to stay up that late, Charlie nevertheless wandered the school corridors alone, with only a phone flashlight at minimum light. Risky and dangerous, but what could a girl like her do if she had insomnia?
She noticed the same goth girl she’s seen before, and a new one - in top and shorts...
No, not a new one, Elstorm thought. She’s someone special. She was near the headmaster the first day.
Charlie dared to approach closer, though staying on high alert.

"It's not that." Francesca snapped all of a sudden, before realizing how it came out and immediately covered her mouth with the tips of her fingers. Taking in a few deep inhales and exhales so she'd somewhat relax a little before attempting to fix her response, she lowered both of her arms so they rested by her hips. "I.. also may or may not have feelings for him. Honestly, I don't even know how I feel toward him at this point, but I feel as though it'd get in the way between all 3 of us so it may be best for me to disassociate with you all." The gothic student suddenly blurted out, her eyelids squeezed shut.

(fyi: not saying she will stop interacting with them, shes just a bit overwhelmed with everything going on and doesn't want to be a bother toward ivy and Roy. )

"I don't know how I feel about him either," Ivy says quietly. All of the sudden, Ivy's head snaps to the side to face Charlotte, immediately going on guard. "Hello," she says, trying to sound polite. She knew who Charlotte was. Of course, Ivy had read her file.

Charlie didn’t turn off the flashlight, just turned it in a way that it wouldn’t shine on the girls’ faces that much.

Quinn finally woke up again, seeing as how Frankie wasn’t back yet she decided to go look for her at the gas station. She gathered her things and let out a deep sigh and began walking through the halls.

Charlotte adjusted several leather bracelets on her arm and looked at Ivy almost with interest.
"Insomnia. It often happens. Especially now," she replied in the same even tone. Her gaze shifted to Francesca for a couple of seconds, after which Charlie returned her attention to Ivy, who was clearly agitated.

"Charlotte Elstam? Right?" Ivy raises an eyebrow, studying the girl.

(I got her name wrong on purpose BTW because Ivy wouldn't remember everyone's names perfectly)
