Imagine this. One morning, you get up to find yourself surrounded by darkness. In this situation, you cannot hear, smell, or taste anything. You don't know how you got there. You are wearing the same clothes (or lack thereof) as you were when you went to sleep. You don't know if where you are is inside or out. It could be a silent empty room, a mall full of people, a jungle, anything real, or anything unreal. Monsters waiting in the dark. Creatures stirred by any movement. Hungry fiends waiting for prey to present itself. Something as delicate as a raft on an ocean to a malevolent beasts Treasury. Things in the dark that could be waiting for you to reveal yourself. Or it could be totally normal. Your living room. But you don't know. You could leave the small platform you are on to try and find out, except you would get lost, eaten, or worse. So. In front of you, there is a table. On it is a large button that will turn on a light, illuminating your surroundings so you may see any horrors that await you. But you know what they say. Curiosity killed the cat. You could choose to not light it up, and stay in the darkness until you are transported back to your normal life. Do you press the button? 1 player likes this post! Like? |

If I am guaranteed to be safe if I stay in the dark, I'm hiding away until I am transported home. Hello darkness, my old friend. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 18/01/25 @ 19:22:31 by TheClassCalico (#88888) |

Personally, I would press the button. If I am to be torn to shreds, I'd rather see my foe before it's done. I'd want to know the face of my killer. 0 players like this post! Like? |
