Hello! I had no idea where to post this suggestion so fingers crossed this will do.

I've seen a fair few people complaining about junk items which have very little value and are not craftable. To sell every individual piece of junk would take a lifetime, so I suggest an alternative solution:

Recycling!

My idea is that the operation would be run by monkeys, as we already have the gorilla enclave, monkey business and they even set up a gambling machine. They also run the shop in the January event so have obvious organisation skills! Clearly, they're smart enough and have had enough human interaction to know it's humanity's fault.

I posit a booth quite similar to the shop where you can trade junk for 'prizes' quite similar to real life bottle recycling stations in some countries. Given that junk has an inherently low value the prizes would be similar for small quantities. E.g. small carcasses (meat chunks, small bird, etc.), a handful of SB (5 maybe?), and low use feathers.

Perhaps as well, since it's a pain to donate things one at a time, there could be a bulk drop-off which could result in higher tier rewards. This would mean that junk items would have to be specifically selected or tagged by the devs as 'junk' for them to come up in a bulk selection mode, but I think it's worth considering! There could be multiple tiers based on the quantity of junk donated, Tier 1 being the aforementioned low prizes, Tier 2 having slightly improved prizes (more SB, better carcasses etc.) and a Tier 3 could have recycling-themed decor/backgrounds - such as clean lake which we can already get in the game!

While monkeys may not be able to run a recycling plant, they can definitely take the audacity of human litter back to settlements and dump it for them to deal with. We already have opportunities in explore to clean trash piles and lakes, so I feel it would expand on this theme!
