While I understand that death is realistic and a natural part of life, I'd kind of prefer to see the lions that reach the end age achieve 'elder' status - that is, they're no longer able to breed or hunt, and no longer count as active 'territory', they just kind of hang in the back of the pride, retired.

That way, for lions and lionesses we really get attached to, they have kind of a 'memorial' page. We get to see them even though they're not really useful for anything else.
