~Newborn cub dialogue~
The king had little and less to say of Nangona when he first saw her, although he was perhaps pleased that she was a primal and not a common female. He worried that this would change his reputation, however, that he was only ever good for siring female primals instead of strong sons fit to challenge for the throne. With his dark primal son already nearly an adult by the time she was born, however, Nangona luckily slipped away from sight as soon as she was weaned, taken in by her older half-siblings so they could change her eye color to Demon. They needed a primal like her as their ally.
~Cub dialogue~
The king's children are cautious of you, likely to be some of his final litters. As such, there are new power struggles happening all over the territory; scavengers are fighting where they didn't before, and even humans are becoming more involved in the lives of all the animals in this kingdom. Surely the enemies of Kuongezeka can sense his failing strength as his body ages, and so he must patrol and fight more than ever before his son takes the throne. It's because of these tense times that you don't see this little one when you arrive to check in either the Pride Den or Newborn's Nursery.
Wherever the children are at this time, they're well hidden, probably watching to make sure you leave anyone alone who needs it and that you're not here to take out any anger on them...although they don't blame you if you want to knock some brutal sense into their father.
~Adult dialogue~
Demonic eyes glow in the shadows as you pass the place where sprung and untouched snares are found. Some of them coil around hares and other animals that would serve as bushmeat, simply left there out of reach by vultures or hyenas until the pride needs them. Nangona watches over them all, her red, otherworldly gaze transfixing you on sight. This sabretooth may or may not be possessed, for she seems natural enough and no hellish sounds or smells cling to her like they do to Lunga's descendants. All the same, you'd be wise to keep your guard up; there's no telling what fates await those cubs of hers that she'd have but not need...
~~
Second and final cub from Mbali's last litter, "Nangona" is the Xhosa word for spite, which she ironically named herself in rebellion to both her father and elder brothers. Freshly weaned, her pink eye color was changed to Demon to mimic the supernatural nature that soon took over her body once she reached five months of age. Considered something of an experiment, Nangona literally shared her body with a demon from Hell that went dormant when not necessary. As such, almost all her natural aggression was channeled into an uncharacteristic rage that frightened even her older brothers. Although she was a proven huntress, she preferred to lay in wait near snares, stealing bushmeat and scavengers that were caught in them.
