Like a few other members of Feri I’s pride, this cub’s parents were outsiders that brought her into the pride, where she was welcomed by the entire community. Her unique appearance and noticeable lack of claws meant Feri I knew she belonged with the other mutated lions, and placed her under the care of his eldest daughters, Kwanza and Alfajiri. She was named ‘Njia’, meaning way, to symbolise how she was born to lead the way for the other lions in the clan.
At 4 months old, Njia made a new friend: a handsome young primal cub by the name of Kupigwa.

This lion was born to https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?mid=414916 and https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?id=794230171173 on 25/10/24 using an instant birth feather and a cotton root bark. She is the first clawless mutation I’ve bred!

Your lioness notices that, while other cubs seem to tickle and prod when kneading, Njia’s paws are soft and delicate. Upon closer examination, it looks like their claws failed to develop; their paw pads are also slightly bigger and darker than most lions'. Njia’s future is certain - they will not be able to hunt without claws.
