While she panicked, Feri I calmed her and assured her that it was a harmless mutation. The mother wasn’t of this pride, however, and did not trust Feri I one bit. The cub’s father was absent and one of her siblings had died previously, leading the mother to flee as soon as she could leave the poor cub alone, rambling something about a curse.
