# Whats this? #

We all been there, and Ive seen many question in chat about it, what is the "right" sellingprice for a cub/lion/ess or what to set as a studdingfee? Well, the right price is depending if you are the seller or the buyer (or the lioness owner), for the first its often for the highest price and for the other the lowest price.

For myself I would like to get at least some back on the studfee if the cub Im selling dont turn out the way I wanted/need it to be (if Im aiming for something special) but the cub isnt "ugly" (or "plain") enough to not at least deserve a chance for a new home. So...I put together these little pricing "guides", in parts building on both stats, basecolor and markings.

If you like it - you are of course welcome to use it (and there would be a happy Deccy to get a little blub/mention about it, not that I will cry "crocodiletears" if you dont - I mean - I have no meerkat chance of checking things like that ;)) Also big thanks for all for input on the first guide I posted here.

PLEASE remember these guides are no "rules" on prices, just a simple guide.

# 28 dec 2013: Ive added a suggestion for a studfee guide as well. (pst...this is more like a guideline than rule ;) each are welcome to price their lions sellingprice/studfee in whatever way they want...I have just made this as a ballplank)

# 15 jan 2014: Ive noticed that it can "pull" away some in pricing, sometimes (for me) feeling like perhaps its a little "too" hefty pricewise. Ive done so that for a for example 544 stated lion Ive counted 1sb per statpoint UP TO 500, then for the remaining 44 statpoints Ive counted 3sb per statpoint. It have worked well for me, the lion still gets it value but the price dont become to steep for a hopeful buyer.

# 17 feb 2014: Added the new NCL special markings as well as the "Maroon 4" markings to "special markings") to the guides. Also made a little change of value. The Raffle specials IS getting down in "specialty" and they are harder to sell (from what Ive heard people say).

# 18 apr 2014: Added the Apr.NCL Markings as well as the two new common markings Under White 4 and Under Cream 4. We have also gotten mutations in the game. From the news [posted apr.14] "There are a total of 18 mutations that can crop up. The lower a fertility the lioness has, the higher the chance the mutation may appear, though mutations may appear on all fertility levels. Some are rarer than others. Some show up at birth, and some won't appear until the lion reaches adulthood. In general, the more severe the mutation, the more chance it may prove fatal for the cub or affect gameplay in some way. Of course, the most severe mutations are the rarest."
Ive chosen not to include the mutation in this guide.

1) Calculate the stats (not incl skills). For the example lion its a total of 561.

2) Your lion have stats over 500, you will use the column for 1-500st & 501-700 st. Up to 500 stats, one (1) stat points = 1 sb. Our example lion/ess have 561 so its 500 x 1 = 500. This leaves 61 statpoints to the next column. In this, 501-700 st column each stat is worth 3sb per statpoint, ie 61 x 3 = 183. If your lion have over 700 you calculate up to 700 and bring whats left to the third column.
Our example lion/ess statvalue is 561 so the value in sb is as follows 500 + 183 = 683 sb.

3) Next come Basecolor. Our examplelion/ess have a coppercoat. Its a color you find in the customizer, its a are "custom color". In this guide its valued to 40sb. Now you have 683 + 40 = 723 sb.

4) This lion have six markings, 1 wild marking, 3 custom markings and 2 raffle markings. 25x4 + 2x45 = 190. This give us 723+190 = 913sb

5) Finally, eyecolor. In this guide the eyecolor you find in the wild isnt worth anything. Our lion have green eyes. 913+100 = 1013sb.

6) In the end our lion is worth 1013sb and depending on how you value GB you can translate this sum to GB if you like.
