-LOCKED - Hunting Decision - and more! | |

EventWe've adjusted the event bars again to lower the amount of gifts and poop you need to unlock the tiers. Also, don't forget that the Advent Calendar starts on the 22nd of December! Hunting ChangesWe took the responses of the poll we put out into consideration, but decided that the best course of action would be to go with option 3 - to change it so that you have a choice to use either GB or SB to skip. The price for each time you skip starts at 1000SB or 1GB, and will increase by 100SB after each use. If you skip 10 times then the GB price will raise to 2GB to skip, a further 10 times will raise it to 3GB to skip. This will reset back every day, to 1000SB and 1GB. We feel that this was the most fair way to deal with the situation. In addition to this, adding hunting turns has been restored and it is a fixed 10SB per hunt per lioness as it was before. The Lion WardrobeYou can now import any male from your pride into the Lion Wardrobe to play around with his base/markings and decorations, and as requested (many times) you are now able to import your lionesses to the Lion Wardrobe! For the time being, we've restricted this feature to adult lions but we will be adding cubs (and cub stages) some time in the future. Some lionesses are already enjoying this feature... New Eyes!We have added two new eye colours to the game - and you can get these eye colours anywhere. Newly claimed lionesses from explore can be found with them, or you can choose them as an option in the custom lioness/lion features. Or go see what they look like in the Lion Wardrobe! The colours we have added are Tan and Olive. Raffle LionessThe last lion to impress a female here was Draconis Angelus Malfoy (#4467)! Congratulations!A new lovely lady has arrived and is waiting to see her choices.. ;) Christmas BreakJust a note, there will be no updates on the 26th December (next Friday). It's Christmas, so the admin team are taking a break and spending time with family and friends. We hope you have a fantastic Christmas - or if you don't celebrate it, have a good week!P.S. There's a special surprise waiting for you in Tier 3 of the event bars ;) P.S. 2 Shad added new images for avatars! 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 19/12/14 by Abbey (#1) |

Hmm... I um... Think I found a glitch with the Special Lioness (not trying to complain, I'm SO very grateful to get her!) I just bred her to my male and it said she was now 2 year and 1 month old and only had two days until she gave birth, so I refreshed the page and it reset back to three real life days I ntum she gives birth, but she's still 2 years 1 month 0 players like this post! The poll was for opinions, it wasn't a set-in-stone poll, plus the thread that came along with the poll was for ideas and whatnot. Problem was that a LOT of people who came in and yelled "OPTION 2" never left a comment and never tried to give a valid reason WHY it should be option 2. While on the other hand, the additional hunters TRIED to explain why this option would be the worst for ALL of US. Option 2 gave none of the casual players a real advantage or help to "get close to high stat people", because only 10 times per day, per lioness. THIS limits your stat outcome for a lioness in her lifetime, even more so because you could only get 1 or a skill stat, which doesn't matter at all in LD economy, because they do not pass on. To "wait out" the high stats to go away would have probably taken *real life* years! People who went for Option 3 or 4 tried to find a middle ground, after all it was the low skipping price that got "abused" or rather, which caused the problem. So, it being regulated was the most logical step, though I have to agree I would do 2 skippings at 100 SB, next two at like 500 SB, then 1000 SB, etc. There were many suggestions and system versions explained in that thread, maybe they will get used, maybe not - only the admins will know. Also then, about the "giving GB a set SB value'" ... it's already done so in the Oasis. Another thing which I find a bit ... eh ... is that a lot of people seem to think that everyone who was for additional hunts is someone who buys GB from the game and therefore the mods went with our opinion(s). I know a couple, myself included, who never bought ANY GB from the site, only from other players, and still were for Option 3, 4 or 1. This whole issue began with the sudden and massive skip-cost drop, alongside with being the only valuable thing that was cheap and people could pour their SB into. If we would have other things similar to this and with SB prices, that you can use to either boost your lions/lionesses or other things (like the Halloween bundle - just constantly ... like a decor bundle or marking bundle, dunno), then people would have had thought twice, maybe, to pour every stockipiling SB they had laying around into the cheap skipping+additional hunts combo. Again, Merry Christmas in advance ^^. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 19/12/14 by Shichibi (#34877) |

Aw I don't like this hunting change, the only reason I would skip is that I have a lot of mouths to feed and sometimes don't have a lot of time at the computer. (Easy to just say don't roll over but if I have cubs due I WANT TO SEE THEM DARNIT.) Can't afford 1k each day I wanna feed them. 0 players like this post! Like? |

"Option 2 gave none of the casual players a real advantage or help to "get close to high stat people", because only 10 times per day, per lioness." I think we have a different definition of casual players. Casual players from what I understand are the people who will never be able to get ten hunts in a day anyway because they simply don't have the time. In which case max lifetime stats don't matter because we don't have the time to even get them to that point. Like I've said already, its not about catching up to high stat lions, that will never ever happen realistically for someone who only has the time for a few hunts a day. It was about seeing more of an increase than the paltry 3 or 4 points a day. The simplest solution to me would be to not include the steroid lionsesses on the leaderboards and in the future punish those who abuse the system, not taking away the ability to skip for a low price entirely. Casual players are now back to seeing just a few points a day, and when you do something for fun that is very, very discouraging. To be clear I'm not saying I fully supported option 2. I don't think it's fair that the extra hunts were taken away from those who DO have more time to dedicate to Lioden. What I'm saying is that it wasn't fair either to give that benefit to casual players and then take it away. There HAS to have been a better option than what was chosen. I don't think that everyone who voted for 3. bought GB either. But if you're buying it from other players you clearly have much, MUCH more time than most to get that SB, so it kind of leaves you in that same camp as those who do buy it for money. You're supporting those who do buy, after all. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 19/12/14 by Kor (#48085) |

Would it be possible to get a list of the decor available for the Wallowing Pit tiers? :) as a decor hoarder, it'd help to keep track of what I have and what I still need. Since there's no shop to see what the decors are and such. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Kor: I was a player who didn't have much time, but I made time somehow, because I knew I could make up for my hunts that I have "lost / missed" during the week on weekends or whenever I had time to go over 10 hunts. I worked on my lionesses a lot, hoarded my SB and then studded to lions that were in SB range, but with good stats, without fulfilling all 10 a day even and yes, back then, to achieve this, I had to downsize my pride and the one on my side account. If at all, I do support the game, not the people who buy GB. Thusly, it doesn't influnece my point of view, since I am STILL for more SB stuff, RELEVANT stuff, ingame - as said marking bundles, decor bundles, etc. Since any game who has a RL currency and stuff that you can only buy with it, are most likely leaning towards "Pay To Win"... due to the sheer fact that you cannot get certain things (markings in our case) without buying it with real money. You can through breeding or studding, yes, but someone HAD to buy them first, unless they got it from a Special Lioness. Plus, I did say that I would have chosen different tiers for the skip rising, as many others who chose Option 3. If this will be considered or any of the other suggestions, and coded is up to the admins. I personally would have just limited the skipping to 5 per day, i.e. 100 SB - 5 times, the rest of the 5 free hunts have to be done manually, which would also be beneficial to the site => traffic. Also, if you don't have much time for a game, then ... hrm ... it's not right to complain, imo =/. Don't get me wrong, I get your point and the frustration, but I have walked away from at least 2 games, because they were eating too much of my RL time and I couldn't simply afford to keep up with it there. Unless, of course, I don't care or it doesn't bother me at all ... like the people who only breed for looks and not for stats or the people who thought additional hunts can go, because they never used them XD. ----------- Obsydian: It has been stated, that if you need food, it is better to buy yourself some food from branches (of other players) or the trading center or even the food bundle from the Monkey shop ... these options are way cheaper (at least the first two), than the 100 SB spent on the skip. 0 players like this post! Thank you so much for giving us the old hunting back. I think the new tiers are quite fair while still staying a luxury :)))) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Wow. I was with you Shi right up until that point. So only people who have lots of time or pay should be able to air their opinion, is that right? That's like saying only someone who studies politics on a day to day basis has to the right to vote. If that's your opinion great, all the power to you but just... wow. I am completely done with this conversation. Clearly there isn't a point in even trying. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I guess I won't be doing much if any hunting now its too expensive to skip the wait times. I guess voting on the poll was a waste of time. Congrats Draconis for winning the lioness. 0 players like this post! Like? |

e.e So, where was all this support for the 100SB skips when they were looking for feedback to the changes guys? ^^ Kor, honestly, returns on anything should reflect time and effort invested. If you want to get better at drawing, you make time to draw more, whenever you can. Having hunt refills back means that we can still catch up on weekends if we've fallen behind during the week. And that 3-4 stats a day makes a difference. And not saying that casual players deserve to have their voice heard less, but I do believe that more active players are more likely to have a better idea of how the market and economy of the site works, and what would work best going forward for it. They're more invested in the outcome, and not necessarily monetarily. Yes, I do think that the first few skips should be lower and the tiering for it steeper, but as a compromise I think it's a pretty damn good one >.> And no, it's not pay to play. It's play to play. Pay to win was what it was before, and I'm very glad they fixed it. Also, it's 5am, so excess whatever typos, repeated words or whatever happens. Just the reaction to the mods fixing the mess by putting it back to what it was before, while also adding a 1000SB skip option, is kind of sad. They deserve more than that >.>" 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 19/12/14 by The Lesser Bilby .:Beastie:. (#22017) |

Kor: I knew it would be coming around as rude, but it wasn't meant to be like that, probably because this is text only. I never said you do not have the right to voice your opinion, it's just a thing, that if you invest more time in stuff, you should be able to have a bigger impact and outcome. As said, it's the whole thing with studying, too ... if I study a lot, I am getting better grades than someone who doesn't study. In a game where time is a major point, like waitings, refillings, etc. you will have to decide or accept that you can only play that game so much, hence why a lot of people don't give much about stats, they simply do not have the money (like me) or don't have the time. In a few months I will, hopefully, start my apprenticeship as kindergardener and I won't have much time anymore either, but I would still choose Option 3 rather than Option 2 or 1. Though, I am also fully aware, that I don't have such an impact on the game or rather my den anymore, as if I would play 5-10h a day =/. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Cool new features, but I'm pretty upset about the hunting skip amounts being changed.. I really liked being able to skip since I work all day I can never get all my hunts in unless I'm off (and even with skipping I didn't get them all in). I'm not exactly rolling in SB so I can't afford the first skip being 1000 sb!! I was okay with it increasing every skip, but starting at 1k is a little steep in my opinion! 0 players like this post! I do have to agree with Trik and Bilby. To make it more fair, I would have started with 100SB skip, maybe 100 SB tier rising .. or just: 1st Skip = 100 2nd Skip = 100 3rd = 500 4th = 500 5th and above starting at 1000 Or simply limiting how long you can skip, like 4 times and leaving it at 100 SB. Maybe they want it to be as the "needed SB drain" some people were talking about. I never came across that, but I guess it makes sense, since we don't have much SB things for stockpiles to get spend on. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 19/12/14 by Shichibi (#34877) |
