***Wow! So much support! Yay~! Thanks guys~!***
**This idea has taken a lot of time to write out, and edit again and again. Please don't post responses that take only a few seconds to type out. If you have nothing to say to help me improve, please don't say it, I would like constructive reviews but not plain old criticism just pointing out what you don't like and not giving suggestions to improve the problem you see. Also I would appreciate it if you would respect the time and effort it took for me to make this idea. Thank you~!**

I was posting an advertisement for my lioness for what felt like the 100th time, it seemed at if she'd never sell! I sighed to myself, wishing there was a different way to get rid of them that would still earn me money for the breeding, feathers I used, time I spent with her, food I fed her. Then I had an idea. Why not have a lion NPC that buys lionesses and cubs, and prices them depending on things like stats, or number of markings. (P.S I finally managed to sell that lioness xD)
This is designed just to give you a bit of money back on a lioness that you breed that no one is buying, it doesn't give you much money, and it's designed that way, so that selling to to other players is still worth it. This will help the cub market as well since people who know their cub will not sell but want something from it. It will also add more money into the game, meaning people will be more likely to buy that cute cub and it will improve the gene pool as ugly cubs are removed from the game, players would be more likely to get rid of the ugly cubs with a "rewards system" of sorts in place for their efforts

How this would work:

Option 1) You would click on the link (from the explore area), that would bring you to a page with a drop down menu and a NPC lion that would say something about always looking for new lionesses/lions or cubs, you would then chose the lioness you want to sell to him from the drop down menu, and click a button next to the drop down menu, it would ask you "are you sure you want to sell this lioness, it is irreversible" you would click yes or no, then your lioness would vanish from your den, and you would have more SB!

Option 2) You encounter the lion as a uncommon explore NPC, it would say "a lion walks over to you, asking if a member of your pride would join his, he's offering SB" if you clicked yes it would then give you a drop down menu, you would pick the lioness you want to sell to him, and click a button next to the drop down menu, it would ask you "are you sure you want to sell this lioness, it is irreversible" you would click yes or no, then your lioness would vanish from your den, and you would have more SB!

Pricing:
Pricing would depend on stats, marking and or level. Here is a suggestion on how it would work. The pricing are designed in a way to keep people from just mass capturing NCLs to sell. Note: If possible, we could also make it impossible to sell NCL lionesses to the lion

Levels:
1-5: add no SB
6-10: add 10 SB 5 SB
11-20: add 15 SB 10 SB
21+: add 20 SB 15 SB

Stats:
Under 70: add no SB
70-99: add 10 SB 5 SB
100-199: add 20 SB 10 SB
200-299: add 30 SB 15 SB
300-399: add 40 SB 20 SB
400-499: add 50 SB 25 SB
500-599: add 60 SB 30 SB
600-699: add 70 SB 35 SB
700-799: add 80 SB 40 SB
800-899: add 90 SB 45 SB
900-999: add 100 SB 50 SB
1000+: add 110 SB 55 SB

Markings:
0-3 markings: no SB added
4-5 markings: add 5 SB 3 SB
6-10 markings: add 15 SB 5 SB

Bases(optional):
Common: no SB added
Special: 5 SB added

Examples:
-A level 8 Prune based lioness with 5 marks and 378 stats. Sadly no once wants your lioness since her markings don't necessarily look that good on her. She would sell for 55 30 SB or 60 35 SB with the optional base factor since it has a special base.
-A normal NCL lioness, you sent her hunting maybe once or twice so she's level 3, she has 3 marks, and 50 stats. Your trying to take advantage of the system and sell NCLs. She would sell for 0 SB or 0 SB with the base factor since it has a common base.
-A very nice cub, it's level 1, has grey base, has 6 markings and has 600 stats. Sadly it just isn't seeming to sell and you don't have the room for it in your den. This cub would sell for 75 40 SB or 75 40 SB with the base factor since it has a common base.
-The fail cub, it's level 1, has a Maltese base, and no markings, but it had 478 stats, you can't believe your lioness and that lovely stud made this cub! There is no way you could sell this cub. This cub would sell for 50 25 SB or 55 30 SB with the base factor since it has a special base.

Prices could be changed if everyone thinks they are to high/low. (Prices lowered: 1 time)(Prices raised: 0 times)

Pros to this:
1) Clean out the cub market
2) Make cub selling more profitable, less supply makes prices go up! (Witch balances out the extra SB people are making)
3) This will erase lionesses instead of turning them into NCL like chase does! So not only do we get more money, we get less NCLs in the market!
4) Help close the new player vs old player gab by letting everyone make money
5) Improve the genetics and stats of lioden by getting rid of the bad or undesirable lions, like natural selection!
6) Add something to the game to make casual players more happy (they've all been upset about cub mortality, maybe this will be like a little silver lining)

Other User's Suggestions:
1) Limit on how many lions sent a day/week/month
2)Only cubs born in your pride able to be sent or only cubs related to your main male able to be sent
3) Adds good karma (unlike kill)
4) Change it to a flat rate
5) Instead of just adding good karma add a"bad"lion to also give bad karma

Arguments:
A: Mass breeders will become rich
R: Mass breeders can already sell to the CC and get money like this, and, they spend lots of GB to get all those territory slots! There is also the option to add a caps on how many you can sell a week/month.
A: It's to much money for the lionesses
R: *Lowers pay*
A: It takes away the strategy part of the game
R: There's still strategy since it rewards better lions, and Lioden is categorized as a SIM game, not a strategy game
A: People could buy cheep cubs/lionesses and sell them for more with this NPC and make money.
R: These cheep cubs/lionesses wont be for sale anymore, the seller will just sell to the NPC on their own or will sell it at a higher rate to prevent this.

I support option 2. I like how it's random, and people are less likely to just send all the lions to the great pride.

I would support but I must Chime in that if a lion does not sell it means she does not sell. It is the risk of the user for using their supplies on her. This is somewhat of a strategy game in which you chose to spend your SB or GB wisely. This also takes away the hard work. The hard work that pays off as she is taken and sold. But yet I support with the idea of having the price not aloud to go over 50 because people might buy cheap lionesses and just throw them into their to gain SB.

I agree it's kind of a strategy game, but with the way the market is right now selling a cub or lioness is very hard. This could help with the market as well as providing something to balance out how they keep making the game harder with more realistic features. From a economic point of view the game will make more money appealing to both hard-core and casual gamers.

I think this would work well in filtering out the market so that when you browse trading centre it's only the worthwhile cubs you're looking at. Sometimes I give up after looking at 10 different rubbish lions in a row, and probably miss out on good lions :P

@kat , I have much respect for that agreement but with these games the markets can be troubling. New markings and pelts flood the market making it harder to sell old colors although showing much beatify. Like I said this is a good idea but should not be used often because of the ability of buying cheap lionesses and then getting SB from them after sending them to the uh.. Great pride. It may be more appealing to all players alike but it takes away the work. Possibly it could only be used 3 times every month to cut down on how many people just buy lionesses to throw them away for more SB. I do like getting more SB no doubt, but doing it frequently... Well.. It feels wrong to me.

I like this idea. I recently tightened my requirements because I had too many lionesses to keep, and I put many up for sell for just 50 SB. Though I also think Keynote has the right idea in having it be a limited amount of times you can do this. But I say 5 times rather than 3.

FYI, do you think you can throw a support to my retirement idea? http://www.lioden.com/topic.php?id=304429187984

I think a great way to combat the loophole of people buying to sell is to make it so you can only send cubs you have bred to the great pride.
Auto-breed can only be used on your own lionesses so I imagine it wouldn't be overly difficult coding it for just lions bred by your own pride members or even just your King.
Other sims games have a similar system in place. No matter the market value of what is being sent, a set value is given for everything.

I dont support. Mass-breeders breed basically 30-40 lionesses at the same time, which means potentially 120-160 cubs. Mass-breeders would get rich this way. There would be more SB in the game and it would inflate even more than it is now.

So let us see an example.
A mass-breeders breeds a ton of NCLs, 30 of them and gets 2 cubs per lioness on average, which means 60 cubs.
40 cubs have common coats, and 20 have special, and they have 4-5 markings in average, along with 200 stats in average.

Now let us count:
20 special coats: 20 x 5SB = 100SB
200 stats: 60 x 30SB = 1800SB
4-5 markings: 60 x 5SB = 300SB

Which means 2200SB, which they can repeat in 3 days.
Getting lions to lvl 6 is a few hours work. So this would benefit mass-NCL capturers as well.

The fact that you cannot sell the cubs should be enough indication to stop producing as many cubs or any cubs at all for sale. It would be better for the market than giving you SB for each cub and potentially destroying the market with it.

Ok so how about a limit of what can be sent each day or week?
Say 1 can be sent a day and you receive between 1-10SBs. That's a max of 70SB a week from 7 cubs that would have other wise given nothing but - karma or sat in the TC.

The most cubs like that go for is around 10-20SB. Players who buy karma fodder aren't going to lose out if limits like this and my previous suggestion that only your own cubs can be used, are implemented with this idea.

Perhaps a reward of positive Karma and maybe 1-5SB instead of up to 10SB making this almost an opposite of killing cubs for negative karma.
That's 7 less cubs a week (or more if the limit is increased) cluttering the game with poor bases and marks. That's an additional incentive to get rid of them for players who strive for positive Karma.

More fleshing out and refining could be done with this whole idea but I think with some tweaking it could go a great game play addition.

If there is not high enough reward, however, then nobody will use it. This is why giving any financial or item reward is a bad idea. Because it is either too much or too little to help.

Axel does have a good point indeed, but I still support. It will allow people to sell cubs they never would have been able to sell otherwise.

Prices have been lowered due to popular demand, if enough users wish, I will raise it back up. I have also added two new sections

Note: When saying something you don't like about it, please help me by suggesting a way it could be changed in a way to hep prevent the problem you see/have with my idea, thank you
