Conner saw as someone walked up to the food counter. He kept eating, though. He was eating somethind shriveled. It didn't have a good taste, though it was familiar. He looked down and read the box. Raisins. He wrinkled his nose and put the box down, letting out a short disgusted noise. He wasn't hungry anymore, and Griz wasn't clawing, that was all that mattered.

Bea's head shot up. "Really? Sweet!" She jumped up from her seat, and made her way over to Kaileh by the door. Bear gave her a happy snort. I know, right - I'm so excited. Bear huffed at her. Really? I'mthe loser? Bear huffed again. Bea shook her head, and walked out the door. "So, am I going straight into shifting, or...?"

"No," Kaileh said, a bit slyly. "I want to go over what you know." She said. "How do you shift? Do you picture the animal in your mind, let your feelings consume you, let your animal take control for a moment, or something else?" She questioned. This is the best thing to do, think of how you shift. It allows Kaileh to help the person shift back if something goes wrong.

Bea smiled. "Okay, well, I usually relax. I like to think of sunsets on the ocean. It helps me relax. Then I imagine myself as Bear. I imagine myself with fur and claws and a snout. I imagine the power rippling in my muscles, and the sharpness of my claws. It get's Bear excited, and when she's excited she doesn't have much power. It helps me take control." Bear huffed and snorted. Oh, you know it's true.

She didn't like shifting that much, her inner animal was rather... disagreeable. "And then, once you have fully shifted, shift back into your human form." She said. She wanted to see how fast Bea could work with herself. How much control she has.

Bea took a deep breath. You ready? She didn't wait for an answer. She closed her eyes and imagined the sunset. Reds, purples, and pinks painted the sky. She could feel herself relaxing. She imagined the sound of ocean waves, crashing against the beach. She imagined the roll of the waves, slowly lulling her into a relaxed state. Then she imagined herself as Bear. She imagined growing black and white fur. She imagined her nose growing into a snout, and her head sprouting ears. She imagined her hands becoming claws, and sprouting a tail. She felt Bear start to get excited. Now! She thought. She grabbed control over the excited bear, and felt herself shift. She grew a snout, claws, ears, and a tail. Fur started to cover her body. The process took longer than it did the day she skipped class, but she still shifted. She sat for a moment, gaining her focus. Okay, I know we just shifted, but now we have to shift back, alright? Bear growled. It might've escaped Bea's lips - she really didn't know. She sighed. Bear, cut the crap. C'mon. I'd like to not fail this class, thank you very much. Just work with me, please. Bear huffed. Thank you. Bea imagined herself as, well, herself. She imagined her brown hair with blue tips, her light hazel eyes. Her nose ring and her ear piercing. Her perfect /lack/ of height. She soon felt the nose, tail, ears, and claws shrink into her. She felt the fur disappear. After a few minutes, she stood in front of Kaileh, human once again. "So...How did I do?"

Dakota let out a grunt of frustration, having been sitting silently in the vacant classroom for approximately thirty minutes--if not longer. He had a habit of getting lost in his phone, in which case he did, this time. Dakota felt a bit agitated, but swiftly brushed it off, convincing himself that he had gotten the days jumbled.
Standing up and tugging at his blue sleeves, he adjusted his leather side bag's strap, pulling it a bit tighter against his hip. He walked swiftly from the classroom, closing the door behind him with a soft thud, before walking towards the cafeteria. Much to his surprise, he found it bustling with activity. On the mornings he decided to fetch a coffee and a fruit salad it was typically empty, not brimming with shifters.
Scratching the back of his neck, he walked over to the line and awaited his turn to inspect his choices of food and drink. Dakota walked right past the sausage, bacon, and egg, trying not to pay any mind to it. He found too-greasy breakfast foods unsettling, and, well, his leopard lived for them.
Not today, Leo, Dakota scolded silently. I really don't feel like spending my day on the pot, do you?
Of course, his only response was a silent rumbling vibrating in his mind, irritating him slightly. Fine, don't talk to me, you pussy cat. His face twisted into a scowl, which was quickly wiped off when he noticed he was getting odd looks from people. Dakota smiled a little, quirking his eyebrows in hopes that they would turn away. Thankfully, they did.
Exhaling a sigh of relief, he turned back towards the food. The thought of bacon did certainly make his mouth water tremendously, and his stomach grumble beyond all means. It killed him not to be able to eat it.
"Good mornin'," a thick feminine southern drawl spoke to him, very obviously coming from the lunch lady, as he came up to grab the fruit salad. "Well, don't you look just peachy?" She smiled sweetly as she handed him the salad, only causing anxiety to boil in his stomach.
Pushing his glasses up to the bridge of his nose, he nodded slightly. "You could say that." Dakota muttered before walking away, fruit salad in hand. He approached the coffee brewers, grabbing one of the clean mugs they had for the use of the students and setting it on the counter. Grabbing one of the scalding coffee pots carefully, he poured himself some of it, only for some to splash out of his mug and onto the hand holding his mug.
Nearly dropping the pot, he quickly put it down and let out a very audible hiss. Instinct nearly took over, almost forcing him to lick the tender burn, and yet he suppressed it with a great force. Groaning in pain, he quickly put some vanilla creamer and sugar into his coffee and stirred it, before grabbing it and balancing the fruit salad on the same arm.
Dakota sat down at an empty table, nurturing his burn ever so slightly. He began eating the fruit salad, ignoring the gagging protests of the leopard.
You're such a wuss. It's only a burn, try eating fruit every day!
Rolling his eyes, he nearly let himself chuckle at the leopard's stupidity.

Sid sighed. He looked at his watch. Class is almost over, and no one but Alec is here.... Sid looked at Alec , who was the only student who showed up. "Alec, you can go early. I'm sorry that we did nothing today....Perhaps the next class we can shift." Sid stood up and followed Alec out of the classroom, locking his door. He walked up to the dorms, and into his dorm. He went into the kitchen and made himself a cup of decaf coffee. He sat at the table and sipped it.

Alec - Male - Blakiston's Fish Owl
Alec walked out of the classroom, thankful of the early dismissal. He went to the cafe. He was hungry, but he wasn't sure for what. He loaded his plate with a bunch of random foods - a burger, some carrots, a cucumber, some yogurt. He sat down with his array of foods and started digging in. Jeeze, I never realized how hungry I was...

The young man nodded as he listened, slowly making his way through his fries with a content look. So it was normal to have these conversations? But Josh said Loki was a male...
"Yeah, she does. It's more recent, however; she told me I kept looking in my head instead of focusing on my soul or heart. It cut her off from talking with me for a long time, but we're on the same page more or less. She calls herself Rory." Adam spoke kindly, not having any annoyances or problems with Rory. Other than she hated his more-than-just-meat diet.
Glancing at all the people bustling about the Cafe, he hummed to himself in thought. Perhaps... Perhaps all this shifting business wasn't too bad. He might not enjoy it, but Rory was quite kind. She also was rather affectionate for what people stated about their animals lately.
"Do you have any problems with Loki? Rory is like me in most ways, so we don't really fight... Evidently I'm to be nicknamed 'Darling' and scolded like I'm her cub." The man chuckled.
You are my cub, Darling~ I may not be your rightful mother, but I'm here to protect you. So make sure to eat more meat, that salad stuff tastes weird.
The man couldn't help it, he snicked to himself at Rory's thoughts; however, he quickly made his face neutral before glancing at Josh. "Apologies."
