Rainar|Female|Beta|Setting Suns She smiled sadly, " No tundra 'Killing' is not nice," She explained, "But it is nesasary to a wolfs survival and learinig, all the great wolves did it," She said, trying to make it sound more fun for the small pup, "Killing is the way life works, the bigger predators, like you and me hunt and kill the lower things like squirrel and deer," she motioned over to the squirrel, " If we didn't kill the deer then the population would grow out of control and there would be to many deer and not enough food for them to eat, so we do them a favor and kill the weak ones, so that the strong ones will survive," she smiled down kindly at the pup, " This is the way life works," 0 players like this post! Iah Cehka | Female | 4yrs 4mnths | Beta Female The female sagged in relief as Nova greeted her and Calyx at the entrance of her den, the little healer's gaze immediately dropping to the pup at her feet. As she watched, something changed in the starry wolf's expression -- her eyes rapidly swallowed by an untold darkness. All of a sudden, it seemed as though the rumours may really be true -- that the wolf that stood before her had sunk her fangs into the flesh of her mate and let his lifes-blood spatter across the dirt. Iah bristled as that shadowy gaze rose to meet hers, ears twitching as a low growl rose from the healer's throat. She swiftly raised one in return, though it originated from impatience and confusion -- thankfully, however, Nova seemed to return to her senses before the confrontation went anywhere, looking at her with new eyes only a few seconds later. Slowly lowering her guard, the beta female traced her movements as Calyx's limp form was scooped from the ground and subsequently placed in one of the many nests lining the healer's den. Hanging as close as she could without getting in the way, she watched as the pup was patched up, his eye coated with a strange mixture of items -- certainly nothing she had any idea about. Her position as a healer had merely been an intermediate process -- a stepping stone on the way to the beta position. She could clean basic wounds, but otherwise... Snorting briefly, she took a seat, tucking her tail close to her body as she rose her gaze to acknowledge Nova's words. Nodding slowly, she moved closer to the pup, her surroundings falling away as she angled her attention upon him. The desire to curl her form around his was strong -- but, self-conscious of the other wolves in the den, she refrained from doing so, settling on hovering close to the nest, instead. True to Nova's words, the pup awoke in a stumbling panic, lavender gaze flailing frantically at his unfamiliar surroundings. A frightful experience indeed, with the odd-looking healer and the brute of a lead warrior, his expression even darker than usual. Having not been spotted herself, Iah rose to her paws, moving closer as she softly matched his desperate whine. "It's okay," she explained quietly, moving herself into his view and stretching along her belly, coming down to his level whilst simultaneously blocking view of the entrance, and hopefully drawing his attention away from the unfamiliar wolves. "You're in our healer's den -- she's just helped your wound on its way to healing. Don't worry, your eye isn't gone -- it's just covered." Keeping her voice gentle, she offered a warm lick to the top of his head -- knowing that body language may help far more than any words would. Rahese | Male | 5yrs 7mnths | Lead Warrior Licking the remnants of rabbit from his lips and paws, he boredly observed as the scrawny healer puttered her way around the den, poking her nose into everything and driving off a couple of useless youngsters, no doubt present because of some clueless reason. Tail whapping impatiently against the cavern floor, the brute abruptly stiffened as Nova approached, eyes narrowing upon her. He raised his head, a growl snapping through his throat as she attempted to start some sort of conversation -- one which he had no patience for. "They're merely of poor quality -- I had nothing to do with it," he retorted, voice sharp, even as he hushed himself, not wanting to disturb the other occupant of the den. He was a pup, after all -- injured and scared. As much as Rahese didn't care for pups, he certainly didn't go out of his way to frighten them. Not like he had to actually do anything in that regard -- his stature was typically enough to start them cowering. Shaking his head, the male tried to gather his wandering thoughts -- his mind oddly clouded and confused. Eyes slowly dragging upward, they narrowed upon the curious bird seated upon the little wolf's head. He wrinkled his nose at the both of them. In any regard, birds didn't like him and he didn't like them -- even to eat. The way the feathers caught in his teeth was nothing but unpleasant, and there was never enough meat on the bones to even bother. In this circumstance, though, it should consider itself lucky -- the hare hadn't served to satiate his hunger, but Nova was by far more annoying than her strange little companion. 0 players like this post! Kashi/ Female/ Hunter (Feels good to say that again)/ FEP Fallowing the once again omega, Kashi cleaned her leg and chest as best she could. the water stung and her fur was staying a light pink in most places. Now I'll have to have Nova treat me again, Maybe she knows of a better way to unstain fur. It would be worth a try.... The thought of her fur slowly becoming pink for the rest of her life, didn't sit well. Not bothering to shake the water from her fur, Kashi walked to Nova's den dripping water along the way. With the way it weighed her fur down, the fae looked smaller. The thick expanse of winter ready fur was now sleek and flattened down to her skin. Hanging long and making Kashi feel like a drowned rat Pausing for a moment, the fae looked for the least destroyed berth before taking stride toward it. Limping as her front leg stung and burned, dripping water in her wake. Dropping down on the bedding on the far side of the den. She planned on waiting for Nova to finish her business And maybe take a nap Mentions: Nova, Serkahri Approached: Healers den Open for Approach: Yes 0 players like this post! Like? |

Madjaster, Serkahri and Tundra: "Oh..." Tundra replied sadly, and spied the squirrel. Finally, he burst out at great speed for a pup, and after about 15 minutes of an intense chase, he leapt onto it, biting it. It withered away soon after. "Did i kill it....?" he asked Rainar, bringing it over to her, and dropping the dead squirrel onto the ground. "And you guys are saying something about that wolf killing Kaito, some wolf. Was it necessary for him to do that?" he asked, shuttering. Madjaster saw the pup shutter,m and grinned. "Brat." he simply said tot he pup. "Meany!" Tundra replied, growling a small pup growl. "Not." Madjaster simply said. "Meany!" "Not." and it continued on and on after that. Serkahri arrived into the healer's den. "Nova? Could you please somehow heal Kashi and I's wounds?" he asked, settling in one of the ruined nests, almost already falling asleep because of how soft it was. He let out a yawn, and his stomach growled. It was a reminder that he would be stuck as an omega for quite some time. His tail drooped and his ears flattened in submission and defeat. There had been talk about Kaito being murdered by some rival wolf. "Hey... what's all the talk of Kaito being murdered?" he then asked the wolves in the healer's den. His stomach churned as he noticed Tundra was nowhere in sight. He decided that he'd go find Tundra... once Nova had tended to his wounds. Rainar|Female| Beta|Setting Suns She laughed, at the two, one bleeding on the ground the other a pup, well both of them were acting like pups. She stood and picked up the squirrel, "come Tundra, don't bother this meany anymore!" she shot, a smug glance at Majastar, she would side on the pups side. She smiled at the pup, "It was a good kill," she said motioning at the squirrel. " And no it was not necessary to kill the Alpha," 0 players like this post! Like? |

Madjaster and Tundra: "Okay!" Tundra giggled as Rainar called Madjaster a "meany" as well, and followed her. "Not." Madjaster growled under his breath. "Thank you! Though what do we do now that it was killed?" he asked curiously, sniffing the caught prey. Tundra looked up to the beta as she explained that it wasn't neccessary to kill Kaito. "Why'd he do it then...? What did Kaito do to him?" he asked sadly. The last time he had seen the big wolf was the day Tundra was born. He hadn't been able to identify him, but sometimes caught other wolves referring to him as "Kaito". Madjaster let out a whine as his torn-off ear started bleeding again. 0 players like this post! Rainar|Female|Beta|Setting suns she shrugged,"I don't know why Katio was killed," she told the pup, "It was unfortunate." she picked up the squirel again then sett it down after a few paces, she nudged it closer to the pup, "you can eat it if you want," she stood back and sat down looking at the pup, and she wished for just a second that she had pups of her own. 0 players like this post! Madjaster and Tundra: "Yeah..." Tundra sighed. "Okay, you can have some too!' he said and started chewing the meat. It wasn't nearly as easy to eat as the chewed-up meat Rjat had given him the day before. It was a good thing that the squirrel's meat was tender and soft, otherwise, the pup wouldn't be able to chew through it with his milk teeth. Suddenly, Madjaster piped in. "It was to prove myself and to help my pack." he replied smugly. "That's mean!" the pup snarled. "No it isn't. Circle of life." Madjaster replied. "Meany..." Tundra snarled. "Don't start again, you little brat, or you'll be somewhere you don't want to be!" Madjaster growled. Tundra whimpered as the big wolf towered over him. "That's what i thought." he growled, and walked away from the pup, and settled next to Daphne. "So am i coming to the feast?" he asked the alpha as if nothing had happened. 0 players like this post! (( gaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!! I typed all of it out then *BAM* GONE. Give me a few minutes to calm down and I will try again.)) Daphne/ Female/ Alpha/ SSP Though her attention was on Rajat, Daphne could still here and see some of the bickering going on. "Madijaster, he is but a pup. You are a grown wolf. Act as one." She called looking over at the male. It pained her some to see that the bleeding in his ear started again. No mater how she tried to distance herself from the pack, Daphne couldn't. This was the only pack she stayed in for longer than a few seasons.... and they have grown on me Yet the only sign of her worry was the slight softening of her eyes. But holding firm to her closed off exterior, Daphne continued to speak as she always did. "And Rainar, don't encourage such childish behavior. That pup will never grown to be a noble wolf if you do so." Daphne was all for ;letting pups play, but would not stand for letting the behavior spill over into their elder years. The blood scent in the air again pulled her attention back to the warrior. My saliva can only do so much, if there is any eternal damage he will be in trouble soon. It was out of her paws now. The best she could do would be talking Makeera into allowing him to see her packs healer. Kiba/ Male/ Warrior/ FEP "I have something special planned for you." He told the female he adored. Not focused on the goings on of the other pack. He may not have trusted them but he was content to let them have their space. It was his job to only report the important things, but he was more focused at the moment on just focusing on Raven. What will our pups look like? Will they have her color or mine? He wondered, eyes far off in the future. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 29/10/15 @ 17:53:25 by Hetchi (#39590) |

Snowy looked around in the healing den. How did I end up here? She walked out of the den, and caught a mouse that was running in the grass. Must be my lucky day. Snowy thought as she began to eat the small rodent. It wasn't much, but it would do for now. 0 players like this post! Like? |

(Oh... how come?) Madjaster, Tundra, and Makeera: "He is not a noble wolf and never will be! Even at a young age, I can tell!" Madjaster protested. "Yeah, meany!" Tundra replied to Madjaster. Madjaster did not want to continue arguing with a pup, so he simply growled. Tundra liked the way he frequently used the fine word pups usually used, "meany". he had heard other pups saying it, usually older pups. "'Meany' is a mature pup word." he boasted, although Tundra didn't know this wasn't true and most pups grew out of it by 8 months at the latest. After an hour (which was the amount of time Tundra had been with the other wolves in the clearing), Makeera awoke, havign had a nice short nap. She was hungry, but decided to wait. The afternoon sun was crawling down slowly, meaning the feast would be soon. She yawned, then decided to take a trip to the healer's den. She saw Rahese had been resistant in letting his wound heal. She walked over to the nest he was in. "Rahese... my older brother. Please do let Nova heal you, it'll be for the best. I cannot have two important wolves in my life die at the same time. I know you take pride in your rank as lead warrior, but there's nothing prideful in refusing to treat a wound." she explained to Rahese, half-pleading, half-ordering. She couldn't stand to see her brother in this state. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Raven|Female|Headhuntress|Falling Embers she could feel warmth spread to her ears, "And what would this special something be?" she asked batting her eye lashes, and looking up at Kiba, she couldn't wait for the surprise, he was good at them too, that was one of the reasons that persuaded her to be his mate. Well... on of the many. She leaned into him, "If its a surprise, don't tell me!"she closed her eyes, and scrunched up her face. Then she opened one eye, "Oh don't tell me!" 0 players like this post! Rajat | 5 Years | Setting Sun | Alpha Male Rajat listened with perked ears as Daphne explained the situation, his lavender eyes flashing as she mentioned the fact that the female alpha had punished HIS warrior without first asking him. Anger burned in his gut as Madjaster approached and he answered his warriors question with a vicious growl and a snap close to the warrior’s face...Madjaster had just made being peaceful with this new pack until the winter and spring passed, a lot harder. “You have proved, Madjaster, that you are strong physically...but lacking strength mentally. I would have accepted something as simple as taking down one of the territorial boars that inhabit this land...but you wanted something to prove your power...unfortunately you did not think of the long term consequences.” Rajat dismissed Madjaster by gracefully rising to his feet and turning away from the wolf. His attention now on Daphne, Rajat watched in amusement as she glared at Raven while asking her question. Answering with a simple, “Yes they have...entertained me quite a lot...could you perhaps be jealous?” Turning to his two guests Rajat addressed Kiba and Raven. “It looks as if our pack is going to be the guests tonight,Raven,Kiba. Perhaps I could you invite you for a meal tomorrow since the situation has quickly changed...Think about my offer if you would.” Now addressing everyone in the clearing Rajat started towards the edge of the clearing while he talked, “It seems we have kept our hosts waiting long enough...we can talk on the way.” Taking the lead Rajat shot a deadly glare in Madjaster’s direction when he heard the warriors opinion of Tundra. “Do not test my patience, warrior!” Rajat growled showing his huge teeth. The alpha viewed the big white pup as a wolf with much potential...he would be a great warrior one day and was a great improvement to Calyx who was and always had been a runt...it defied logic and nature that the pup had been the sole survivor of three other siblings. Turning his thoughts to his actions ahead Rajat mused about what the impending meal with this other pack would mean. One thing was sure though...He was not happy about the fact some other wolf had dared to discipline HIS pack member. This anger was shown in the tense line of Rajat’s huge shoulders...perhaps he should find a way to vent his anger before meeting with this other pack. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Calyx | 1 month | Male pup Calyx swiftly calmed at Iah’s comforting tone of voice along with her friendly body language. Turning his gaze warily back towards the small starry pelted onyx female... for who other then that strange creature could be a ‘healer’? Calyx had never before met a healer...he did not know why his pack had never had one...had never even known they existed. The strongest survive and the weakest die...that is how his father had explained it to him insinuating that size was the key factor in this though a magical power could make up for size. A healer would seem to clash with that idea...though perhaps it was not simple as that. Brain starting to hurt while thinking about such complicated ideas Calyx immediately dropped his train of thought instead giving in to the urge to shakily get to his feet and walk towards Iah burrowing into her warm fur and slipping once again into an exhausted sleep. Nova | 5 years, 7 months | Female Healer | Falling Embers Nova nodded her head and simultaneously repeated the alpha’s words, “Yes, Please do let Nova heal you.” Studying Rahese’s wound more closely Nova grunted...if the wolf had immediately come to her, the wound would have easily healed with the appliance of some honey and moss. But the infection and the rough housing the wound had been through made up for its relatively small size now boasting an angry shade of read with some clear liquids slowly leaking out of it, an aura of heat surrounding the whole thing. The puss was a good sign...it meant that Rahese’s body was actively fighting infection...what confused Nova was that cleaning it had not seemed to have much of an affect on the wound. Acting on a hunch Nova gave a small yip a signal to her magpie to inspect the wound closer. “This is going to hurt like the bite of a snake Rahese...and don’t you dare lay a paw on my bird, he is going to help you.” Ro hesitated for a second when he heard his mistresses signal...he had seen the male wolf eye him and was deeply offended by the wolf’s almost hungry gaze. Ruffling his feathers and puffing out his chest Ro gave Rahese an imperious stare before hopping down onto the male wolf. He didn’t really care for this wolf either...Looking closely at the wound Ro spotted something that his powerful gaze was able to detect a lot better than a normal wolf eyes. The magpie quickly inserted his long beak into the wound delving into it and easily grabbing the dirty broken off tip of a cougar’s claw that had been the main reason for such a powerful infection. The process was faster and a lot cleaner then Nova trying to first find then retrieve the claw tip on her own. Ro made sure to make a hasty exit after getting the claw tip out...dropping it and taking to the air to perch safely on a high self far from the warrior’s reach before starting to groom his striking blue, black and white feathers. “That should help.”Nova said with approval before smearing on some honey and then blue tinged Cat’s Tongue onto the wound. Honey has great antibacterial properties along with many other great healing attributes...but it was nowhere near as strong at fighting infection as Cat’s Tongue. After applying the two herbs Nova covered Rahese’s side with a layer of moss. “Keep that on your wound for about an hour then take it off...you should be able to attend the up and coming feast, but no patrolling, hunting or anything else until I give you the go Rahese. Sighed with relief at finally being patient free only to give a yip of annoyance as Kashi and Serkarhi entered the den each having some notable wounds from their fight. This brought up another question...where was the new male healer, Rivers? The pack hunt was over and yet the male was not present. Even if he did not know anything about healing he would be useful to Nova, the most unlearned wolf could follow directions. Nova had not yet met Rivers but was so far unimpressed with what his absence was communicating to her. Turning towards her two new patients Nova surprised herself by absentmindedly, almost instinctively brushing comfortingly against Rahese’s side...no matter how hard headed or mean the wolf could get he was still, admittedly, unfortunately an important part of the healer's life...things would get boring indeed without someone to annoy or clash with. That scared the female to no end...she remembers vividly just how much one you care for, can...and most likely will, hurt you. 0 players like this post! Like? |
