@Manete Aurum: Living here has it's ups and downs, like every other country. The economy is really stable so there is always a job if you want to work, if you can't the country really tries to help you with welfare and programmes (integration into different work places, help with your CV, training for a job interview and stuff like that) so that's nice. What sucks is how expensive living in the big cities is tho, the rents are ridicolous for a decent place. And the people will come off as cold first but when they warm up to you, you'll see they're really nice and friendly. I'd rather live somewhere else tho, the government and the mentality towards 'traditional' marriage pisses me off :) I mean even Ireland has gay marriage! And then Angela Merkel (The big boss lady) goes on about how traditional marriage is what she wants to preserve and stuff like that. The Christian party is really big here. If you wanna know more please PM me, I don't wanna spam here haha :) /rant

I find it fascinating, Muffin!! I have a good friend who is from Germany, she immigrated to the US a long time ago and is really a nice person. I am always picking her brain about what it was like in Germany- and one of the reasons she came to the US is that she is both Pagan and Lesbian/Bi, and now she is Married VERY happily to a Transgendered person! Things that did not go down very well in Germany!

In fact, she hand makes soap, and she brought us a whole bunch of it when she came to visit last- I love when friends have hobbies and share them! Do you have hobbies? Mine are all silly- like I make Miniature Ofrendas (day of the dead tables) and other Sculptural Day of the Dead stuff and I do ATC's (Artist Trading Cards) as hobbies!

@RottAndArtist: Oh lovely and yeah, right for people who are not straight and cis in terms of marriage and such is basically non existent. I mean if you're trans you have to go throuhg a year of therapy (to make sure you are really trans) and have to say, live as a woman for a year if you're a transwoman, it's ridicolous, plus the health insurance is really picky on paying for treatment, it takes a lot of time and strenght... So from your friend you know exactly what I'm talking about haha :) I want to migrate to either USA or Canada, I have family in Boston so that would be easier I guess.
Oh like for Dia de los Muertos? Are you from Southern America? I'd love to go there and see what it's like to celebrate that! As for hobbies, I study languages (English and Spanish) and I really like that, I'm trying to make my hobby become my job :) I play video games as well ( I have a link to my steam in my profile if you wanna check out what I play on my laptop, other than that mostly Legend of Zelda on Nintendo) and I like to make little figurines, like cats and bats and all that out of clay if I can get my hands on some haha :) I used to play guitar and violin but I had to stop, no more time and money for lessons...

@Muffin, oh man! That's awesome! My close friend and I are looking at possibly moving to Germany after we finish school. ^^ I'm over in Canada, and well...job wise, I can't say it's too easy. Everyone goes out West (Alberta) because it's easier for work there. Sad though that trans/LGBTQA doesn't have so may rights there! I suppose it'll come around eventually though (gotta be hopeful!)

Aw, you make figurines? Do you have any pictures?? I love little things like that! :D

@Manete Aurum: I guess it'll be easier for me, once I'm done I will be a translator and maybe an interpreter (if I can pass the special interpreting exam) I can theoretically work anywhere I want, but it will take another 3 years after this year so I still have time to figure out where I wanna go :) Plus I have to find a job that doesn't exhaust me too much (woo mental health issues...) but I think I'll find something I love and can do eventually :)
I really hope it'll come around, then I'd probably stay here haha :) Where do you wanna move over to? like the North, South, East or West? I can tell you that Eastern Germany is a bit poorer than the rest (because they were lagging behind before the wall came down) but it'll even out soon I hope. Other than that I can tell you the further North you go, the harder it is to understand people, if you go to the coast where people speak Platt (a really strong dialect most Germans have difficulty understanding) it'll be hard to understand people haha :) and the Southerners are snobs, especially around where I live. But overall we are pretty nice to be around I think :)
Sadly I don't have pictures, the last time I made some figurines, I didn't have my cellphone yet... I do crochetting Amigurumi sometimes too tho, I'll try to find one and post a picture here :) Most of them have been given as presents to people tho haha :)
