Arielle's eyes shot open and she nearly jumped to her feet before realizing that she was back in her tree. The low-hanging branches swayed slightly with her jolting wake-up, but stayed secure. She breathed a sigh and nestled a little more into the thick pelt. The deep brown elk's skin lay neatly on a cluster of three main branches, one on each end and a one on the middle, sticks and a few thin rabbit pelts laid across the three branches for some support. The widest parts on either side of her bed were fringed, left by her attack on the stomach. With a small smirk, the she-wolf remembered winning the pelt from Gem and looked in the direction of his den. [I hope that's alright, Sunny!] Her smirk faded as the young Noble remembered the dream that had woken her so abruptly. It was about that Sunrise beta again, the one who she couldn't resist staring at during the gathering. In the dream, he was chasing her in the black dreamscape, wait- or was she chasing him? It was difficult to decide; her and the much older wolf faced each other, the same distance away at all times -save for the end- no matter how much they moved. If Arielle moved right, the sunrise wolf would move right the exact same distance. If he moved back, Arielle would move forward. If Arielle sat, the sunrise wolf sat. This went on until right before she woke up. Arielle had moved forward, and upon no fault of her own, began charging forward. Opposite from what was happening before, the sunrise wolf abruptly charged forward as well, and right before they collided, she heard a disembodied being whisper "Kerrin" and the noble jolted awake. The gray and white she-wolf shook her had and stood fully, regaining balance as soon as she was upright. She stepped down onto a boulder under the entrance and hopped down, landing with quiet paws.

Aela sighed and followed her energetic sister from the den. "I swear these pups are going to be more mature than you!" she called to Pyre as she caught up. The sun blinded her and she turned away with a wince. Noticing Keahi, she waved her tail at him in greeting and smiled. She hadn't had much opportunity to spend time with her friends the past moon, what with all the patrolling and the sneaking away to meet with Soren whenever she could. Guilt pricked at her and she hoped that things would be better once the pups came, though she doubted it. She couldn't expect Nova to care for pups that weren't his own while she dillydallied away. Nova chuckled and walked past her on his way to the camp centre. A few moments later his rich, deep voice called out in a short howl, waking any who might have still been sleeping.

Pyre grinned at her sister and shrugged "Thats what a 'fun-aunt' is, isnt it?" She winked at Aela and tilted her head "Now....what are we doing today anyway?"

"You woke me up so you tell me!" Aela said with playful growl, giving her the stink eye. She padded over to the kill pile and chose a remaining chunk of deer flesh, carrying it over to Pyre. "Care to share?". She was thankful that her sister was back to her old ways though it also meant she tired out sooner than usual. As a result she made sure to eat well though she always brought something back from a scout. Even if she hated killing animals she refused to be a burden even in her pregnant state.

Gem staggered from the nobles den, his soot black fur ruffled from sleep with a hazy look to his amber eyes. He hadn't gotten much sleep last night- a certain thought had been plaguing him and he had been both too terrified and too excited to even dream of shutting his eyes. But eventually exhaustion had won over, and now here he was. Disgruntled and confused. But that soon ended when a familiar scent reached him. His eyes flew open, wide and alert now. Sure enough he saw Arielle by the entrance and after a few moments of plucking up his courage he strode over to her. He gazed at her pretty eyes and smooth pelt and swallowed. Oh ancients, she was even prettier today than the day before! He was normally comfortable with not saying much but for once words were burning in his throat, and his normally cool mind was going into meltdown mode. Say something before she thinks you're weird!' he growled to himself. Taking a deep breath, he squared his shoulders and looked her in the eyes. The words flew out before he could stop himself. "Arielle, be my mate!" he barked a bit too loudly. His ears dipped down and his eyes flicked sideways, having realized he nearly caused a scene. He ignored the hoots of laughter coming from Sky in the nobles den. "Uh..please?"

Pyre grinned "Of course!" She flopped herself down and snuggled into the ground, paws tucked neatly underneath besides her front paws. She took a few bites of deer and waited for her sister to eat a bit too. Pyre tilted her head "Hmmm...i only woke you because it was morning. I dontt have anything planned per se..."

Arielle took a second to fully process what the older male had said. A spark went off in her brain and filled her eyes with noticeable happiness, soon replaced by skepticism. "Did Sky put you up to this," she questioned, smoothing down her chest fur. Even if she thought it was a trick, she hated how her gray fur stuck up in rouge places, some revealing the black underfur. She looked a bit like a spiky, brindled wolf and her tail would remind any wolf of an overweight raccoon.

The red wolf rose to his paws and turned away from the pack, red eyes staring off into the distance. "Here I come, Rogue Life." He sighed, shooting a glance back at the pack before padding away slowly. He knew no one would notice him leaving, he was sure he just held them up anyway. He was more of a loner than anything else, he only drove wolf packs crazy.

Gem was taken a back for a second, feeling like a thorn had just been driven into his chest. But when he considered her question he realized it was a pretty reasonable one seeing as how it was the sort of thing Sky might do. "Do you really think I'd listen to that rabbit-brain?" he asked with a small smile. "It's all me I promise. So?..." He waited for her answer with a guarded expression though his eyes were honest and hopeful. He didn't know what he'd do if she rejected him. Dig a hole and hide in it, most likely.

"But I accept, you weirdo," she purred, an intense feeling of love surging through her veins, "But tell me, what made you love a smart-mouthed, abrasive, half-deaf she-wolf like me?" Her brows raised and she paced around the male, touching him with her tail as she circled.

Gem shrugged, an enjoyed smile passing his face. His copper eyes glowed with love as he looked at her, and he could feel his heart going as fast as a hummingbirds. She'd said yes! He didn't think he'd ever felt this happy before. "Does love need age or reason? I'm sure if you weren't smart mouthed and abrasive I wouldn't find you half so interesting. You just complete me." He leaned forward and brushed his muzzle against hers, trying to convey his feelings without saying too much. "You could be completely blind, deaf and missing three legs and I'd still choose you. You'd still be worth so much more than me."

Arielle relished in the male's affection, glad for the new-found warmth at the end of cold winter. A new fire integrated itself in her blood, and for a moment, she worried what the other pack wolves would think. As her tongue darted out to lick Gem's face, her fears subsided and her voice resurfaced. "Since when are you so sappy," she teased, bumping herself against him, "We goin' to camp... or would you like to stay here for a while?"

Gem laughed at her words and he turned, playfully letting his tail brush her nose. "Don't expect it too often" he said with a calm voice, though it radiated with warmth. "I may as well tell my brother before he tries to tell everyone. He has the ears of an owl, I swear." He wondered if she'd prefer to keep their new relationship quiet. He wouldn't blame her if she did, though even the best guarded secrets of the pack had a way of getting around.
