Sunrise Pack Territory

*pictures belong to their respective owners/photographers*

The stream beside camp. It's shallow and easy to cross, perfect for drinking water and even pups are sometimes allowed to play in it-but be careful, it's slippery on the rocks depending on where you are, and freezes during winter and early spring.

The easternmost part of the territory, on the other side of the mountain valleys connected to the Sunrise pack's territory.

The pack lives in eye shot of the western side of the mountain. The westernmost point of the territory is dense forest and the easternmost point is reasonably flat plains against the last of the mountain valleys. Sunrise pack and its camp is separated from Duskfall's eastern territory by a valley of sloping mountains. In the middle of the territory is wooded shrubland. The camp is located in the westernmost area of the shrublands, the dens are made in the bushes and dug under the roots of large trees. (see rank challenges and Duskfall mate challenge in sign ups)

Pyre | F | 4 | Noble

With a scowl, she leaped off his back and flicked her tail at him "Rudeeeeeee! A gentleman never tells a lady that he suspects she's put on weight!" Grinning maniacally, she dashed around him in a small circle "So? Where's everybody this morning? And by everybody, i mean my silly sis, and the alpha, and everybody else!" Looking behind Nova, she grinned even brighter "Found her!" Leaping over Nova's shoulders, she landed directly in front of Aela's approaching form.

(also, right now it is late spring/early summer, :P so they are all good on "fattening" XD)

Aela and Nova exchanged twin looks of amusement. Nova huffed in laughter and turned to sort out the kill pile before he got into trouble. Once sorted, he took the hare in his mouth once again and lay down a few paces away so he could finally eat. His mouth was watering like crazy. With a sharp twist of his jaws, the hare's head was ripped off and he got to tucking into the rich meat within.

Aela touched her nose to Pyre's in greeting and grinned, "You're pretty energetic for so early in the day. Have you seen the kappa? I found some appetizing friends down in the fields." She sat and licked the pad of one of her paws, trying to dislodge a seed that had gotten stuck in there along the way.

Pyre - F | 4 | Noble

Pyre nosed her sister's cheek, returning the greeting, and shrugged "Can't say I have seen her, but I can say seeing you and Nova has woken me up better than even an aromatically pleasant, warm-bodied squirrel under my nose could!" Thinking a moment she wagged her tail "Let's ask Luce if us three, and maybe one more, can go and take down a small, weak one, how 'bout that?" Pyre spun on her paws, grabbed a squirrel - her favorite small snack - and after hopping back around, tore off the top half of the squirrel and passed it to Aela, settling down next to Nova and tapping her tail on the ground beside her for her sister to join them.

Maiara~9~Elder (I hope I understood your message correctly).
I smile slide across my face as I looked at Anya, and gave her a slight nudge. "Yes, thank you Anya." I slowly stood as the sun sadly went away, and we wouldn't see it again tell noon. "But it can't hurt to get up." I explained. She nodded, and I made my slow walk to the stream. She probably watched me go, cause she's that kind of wolf. I bent down and took a drink; I stood quickly hearing something rustling in a nearby bush. I watched as Nakoma walked out, caring a hare. There was enough kill for the pack, for sure, but it's just part of our routine that she kills something for us to share while we talk. "A little nosy?" I teased. "If I didn't want to be heard, then I wouldn't." She teased back.

"It was fun while it lasted." I answered Nakoma, who asked me about my opinion on being the former Zeta. "Yeah. I just wish we didn't have to fight over it." She sighed, before licking her lips clean. "They were wanting me to become an elder anyway, just needed someone they thought could do that job to be ready." I shrugged. "Then I challenged you." She nodded. "Yes, but you were the choice anyway. You just beat them to the punch by challenging me before they could do it." I explained, before getting up once again. "I always was ahead of the game." She remarked playfully, getting up and coming up next to me and giving me a slight nudge.

Nakoma~3~Zeta~
I let Maiara go off and do her own thing, probably getting a little annoyed about my fussing over her. I worked my paws in the dirt, feeling a little restless to be honest. I looked around the camp for something to help with, or a tenderfoot/junior/apprentice to possibly train.

Adsila//Female//4 years//Kappa
Mentions: None

Adsila was lay in a shallow part of the stream, the small red wolf was cleaning her pelt of all the dirt in it. She prefered this method of washing as it meant her tongue didn't get caked in mud and the horrid taste that came with it. Her mind was elsewhere, she was trying to calculate if the pack needed to hunt today and if so what prey was the right size for her and Luna to take down. This thought played on her mind. She'd of loved to hunt elk but for two wolves it was a little too much, especially since she herself was small in stature. I don't know...We could really do with some more hunters she sighed and rose out of the water, her pelt was clean enough for one day. Shaking off the excess water quickly, she then made she small journey into the camp and lay down, her mind still very much plagued.

Aela, Scout, 4 years, mentions Adsila

Aela moved to sit down with Pyre and Nova but a flash of red caught the corner of her eye and she caught the scent of Adsila. "Be right back!" she called to her friends before trotting over to the Kappa. As she approached the wolf of higher rank, she lowered her head and tail in a respectful position. "Excuse me, Adsila, could I have a moment?" she asked, fixing her eyes on the other she-wolf's shoulder as direct eye contact was considered rude or threatening in wolf language (I think so anyway...). Her paws fidgeted impatiently. She hoped the deer herd was still within the border and hadn't moved on to fresher pastures. While she didn't hunt herself, she still enjoyed to watch and share in the thrill of bringing down prey as a pack.

Nova, Noble, 3
A warm stretch of hare flesh slid down Nova's throat and he licked his chops with a satisfied expression before reaching for another bite. He watched Aela as she headed towards Adsila, and hoped they were in for a hunt. Anything that would stretch his muscles and bring some excitement into his day that didn't involve a muzzle full of porcupine quills. His eyes flicked to Pyre beside him and he smiled to himself as he thought of her boundless energy. Yes, some leg stretching would certainly do some good for both of them.

Adsila//Female//4 years//Kappa
Mentions: Aeia

The she-wolf jumped a little as she was pulled out of her thought by a familiar voice, upon noticing the scout she gave a soft smile. "Of course you may, now please do relax I know you're respectful" her voice was soft and melodic as she spoke. The fae always had this calm and kind nature to her, like that of a motherly figure although she had no pup of her own. "What is it you wish to talk to me about?" she questioned gently, she had noted the impatient shuffling on Aeia's paws. It almost made her chuckle how excited the wolf was, it was a nice sight to see and cheered her up immensely.

Pyre | 4 | Noble

Pyre was fidgeting as she ate, her never ending energy trying to spill over at the thought of a hunt with her sister and her best friend... maybe even the kappa and the other hunter, Luna, i think. While bad memories usually didn't cross her mind - usually - she still thought of consequences, and thought things out quietly. She played with her squirrel a bit more, before passing most of the squirrel to Nova. When she thought of something bad - you knew it. She had to get the thoughts out of her head - whether she do something bad, good, or just wait it out - she HATED thinking of upsetting things, it made everyone be in a bad mood, and bad moods are not fun, cheerful, or funny.

Flashing teeth, a shadowy figure, and a large, warm tan figure brushing against her fur, protecting her from the monster. Everytime bad memories came to her head, he came to mind - never failing to make her unimaginably depressed. The shadow - the one that took him away from her - he would come when she thought of him. The one that took his life.

Aela, 4, Scout

The tawny she-wolf smiled appreciatively at the kappa's calming words, and replied, "I was scouting this morning and came across a herd of deer in the plains. It's as good an opportunity for a hunt as any..." she met the eyes of Adsila and an image of her mother passed through her mind. Though they were the same age, she often thought that Adsila reminded her of her mother with her kindness and gentle air. She pelt a pang of longing in her belly. As much as she loved this pack and being a part of it, there were some things she had been sorry to leave behind such as her parents and litter mates. But now wasn't the time to feel sad over things that couldn't be helped- she would never regret changing packs especially with her sister by her side. Her thoughts returned to the matter at hand.

Nova, 3, Noble

Nova grunted his thanks to Pyre when she passed him the remains of her squirrel. He pushed the picked clean bones of the hare away in a neat pile to be buried later. Looking at the barely touched squirrel however, he couldn't help but feel uneasy and glanced at Pyre. Since when did she pass up food? He wondered if she was remembering things best left forgotten again. They all had their demons and while it had been long enough to get past the majority of them he knew that they would never truly leave. "Hey, you okay?" he asked in a low voice, his ears lowering slightly in concern.

Adsila//Female//4 years//Kappa

Adsila nodded her head as the fae spoke, showing that she was listening to every word. "Thank you Aeia, I need to see if I can gather enough wolves to hunt a deer. The only official hunters are me and Luna. As well as our hunting skills are out weight isn't enough to topple a deer. Would you mind helping me see who wishes to hunt?" she asked the scout. To Adsila ranks didn't mean power or respect, she felt like she must earn them from the pack. The only thing she figured that her title gave her was the responsibility to ensure the pack hunted and had food, that was her main purpose. She ruffled out her pelt a little, quickly licking down any patches that stuck out, she enjoyed keeping her appearance up.

Pyre | 4 | Noble

Tilting her head to one side she glanced at Nova "Yeah, I'm alright. Homeland-sick a little, i guess. Remembered something a little bittersweet, yeah?" She hummed, almost silent besides her comment.

Aela, 4, Scout

Aela flicked her ears in the general direction of Nova and Pyre "I think those two would be willing to hunt, Adsila," she said with an air of amusement. "My sister certainly needs to work off some energy and Nova will go along if she does." Nova would sooner eat grass than miss out on the excitement of the hunt while Pyre and Aela went, even if only one of them were to actively participate. Aela had enjoyed the team play of hunting in her birth pack, but having to strike an innocent creature and cause it deliberate pain had never agreed with her nerves so she had decided to leave that role behind and be a scout when the opportunity arose. She still got to run, stalk and use all her hunting skills as a scout without inflicting pain on others. If it came to enemies however, she had no reservations.

Nova, Noble, 3

Nova nodded in understanding "Mm, I do miss Shadowpack sometimes," he mused. "But at least we aren't enemies here." he nudged her playfully. "And I don't have to kick your butt every time we meet!" He started chewing on the squirrel and had it eaten within a minute.

Arielle scanned the camp, trying to see whether or not Pyre, the orange-pelted noble, had gone yet. Her dark ears perked forward as she spied her, clustered with a collection of other packmates. Eager to go out and train, she bounded across the camp, weaving around roaming wolves and slowing once she reached the pile. She walked briskly to Pyre's left side so that her right ear faced her. "Good morning, Pyre," she chirped, looking past the older wolf in respect, "You free? I could do with some training this morning!"

Murdoch
Sniffling, Murdoch nosed throughout a few raspberry bushes within Duskfall's densite. It was a peculiar sight, the raspberry bush- that is, but it was greatly appreciated. His sensitive ears caught sound of a subtle pitter-patter of paws, instinctively bringing Murdoch to pull himself away from his gluttonous ways of scarfing down the berries group by group. The 'tenderfoot' caught sight of a familiar-looking scout, Aela. The white-furred male hadn't personally talked to her, or really anyone in the pack now that he thought about it, but he had been taught to follow the 'children don't speak up' stereotype.

Fur rustling within the low-lying breeze, Murdoch retreated to a nearby lounging-rock to try and settle down for a few moments, maybe even to sun-bathe a little bit? It truly depended on the state of their schedule, which was usually pretty lenient and nonchalant.
