Ah, ok. I didn't know if you meant actually being able to read thoughts or just slightly like colors or silhouettes of them.

and for hypnosis, I was thinking once they were in a trance, they didn't get out of it until he let them. He would need to make eye contact to hypnotize them, and once that's done with, they stay tranced even without him looking. But the longest time he can go without looking is five minutes?

Yeah, or it wears off faster if a wolf has a strong mind and will. They can fight it off if they try, but a weak-minded wolf will stay under longer.
