If I get critique and or feed back, I prefer something that will help me, instead of something that will not make me want to do art for people here again.

My YCH did not go well, but I am doing a new one. Anywho! This is my latest completed piece:

Again, I haven't actually finished much because of the negatives, and not much 'How can I improve?' I've been bashed so many times here it's not funny. I want to improve and sell art. Not have people tell me 'Lines are too thick' (which they are not) or it's 'low' quality... How can I get better? I want to know that much.... *headdesk*

nice n_n and since you're also asking how to improve one of the best bit simplest things that you can do it change the line thickness, makes it seem more flowing to say have thinner lines on tail tufts and thicker on the back line e.t.c

My most recent sketch done of my character who I play here on Lioden. To be honest, I've always preferred my sketches and my coloured sketches to my more "polished" work- I'm admittedly not very good at making smooth, clean lines for lineart. Any tips on how to improve the quality of my line art, guys? (I know you can't see an example of it here but believe me.. its not good D:)

@mots: don't get too downhearted, perseverance is key! I think you have a pretty cool style! It's lion king-esque but not quite? as for critique, I think FelixVulpes brought up a good tip about line weight. Another thing to consider would be looking into using the bezier tool, or even just manually modifying your lines, as there are lines that seem a little shaky, such as with the mouse. Another thing that would help, I think, is changing how you fill your lines? There are some pixelation issues with the transparency and jagged stray pixels and also with the interior lines looked jagged as well.

@lordblue: total me gust, I love me some growly characters :D As for lineart, I actually clean up my sketches and just use that as my lineart? I do occasionally 'line' my art, but I prefer painting instead. ;A; I think it's really what you prefer? I can't really give pointers on lining with a mouse (except for utilizing the bezier tool or playing with brush settings to make it easier) and I find lining with a tablet a lot easier! What program are you using? :0
