@Hiamovi With the whimpering pup in tow, you call out to the ill creature. It pauses in its steps momentarily, and stares at you with those intense eyes once more. Its clear that the intelligent being is thinking. After some few moments, you slowly approach it, still talking to it about how the pup will likely need it, just as much as it will need you! Reaching out a tentative hand, you feel the beast press its nose to your hand.... It seems to accept your help, and will go home with you.
